Please share your feelings/testimony of the Restoration of the Gospel.

I wasn't raised Mormon, I was raised Baptist, my grandpa was a Baptist minister. My mom passed away in 2005 and she had read the whole book of Mormon. She had told me that she wanted me and my 4 kids to go to church. I was too busy and I really didnt want to here it. She told I Believe in the book of Mormon. She had passed away 1 mo later. It has been almost 6yrs and I had alot of her things in my storage, some missionarys were helping me move and they had seen in a box very large books of Mormon, they were like wow! Jeannie whats this I told them it was my moms, I told them to take them and they must have forgot, but later I was remembering what my mom had told me. At this time in my life I was having a lot of hard times and I really beleave the missionarys were my ANGELS sent by Heavenly Father to help me and my children. At that point in my life I just knew it was true and it was right for us. I say this in the name of Jesus Christ AMEN.

How I live my faith

I am trying to be the best example for my kids and teach them the gospel.

The family is a key component to support us in God's plan for gaining immortality and eternal life. All of God's children (all the inhabitants that lived, are living, and will live on Earth) are inseperably connected to each other, both (physically) by our Earthly families and (spiritually) by our Heavenly Father.

Families help us to understand our divine heritage. In this, life takes on purpose and meaning. Our immortal spirits were created by our Heavenly Father before Earthly existance, and we are directly connected to Him in this way. As a spiritual family, our collective purpose on Earth is to follow the commandments of God that lead us to live in heaven with Him again.

Our spirits need to progress, learn, and grow. In order to achieve that, Earthly existance was created as our test. Our Heavenly Father knew that being exposed to opposing forces on Earth was the only way for us to gain knowledge and wisdom.

However, we will not always choose righteousness, and so our Savior, Jesus Christ, is that great mediator to pay the debt of our mistakes. He is the only way by which we can be saved from our sins and transgressions. He is the ultimate example by which direction we need to live our lives. With the support of our earthly kin, we can learn from each other, serve each other, and strengthen our mortal weaknesses by being disciples of Christ. Our families are a gift from God, and we can be together forever.

Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

As a primary president in my ward, I share in the direction and leadership of our ward. I don't feel secondary in any way. Whether you have the priesthood or not, you are still responsible to listen to the direction of the Savior. The priesthood is a tool and power that is the same power of the Savior. It allows the human authority to do work on earth, particularly perform ordinances, and bless others. As if the Savior was here in person during His ministry accounted for in the New Testament. I would use an analogy to compare the priesthood as a car. A car is an amazing tool allowing you to get you from here to there. I don't mind my husband driving and I can offer some navigation or work the radio, as long as we and our children get there.
