Hi, I'm Amber
I am a wife, mother, and an officer in the military. I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I am a wife, mother of two wonderful children, and active duty officer serving in the military. During college I attended a federal service academy and love serving my country, but above all else I am a wife and mother first.
Why I am a Mormon
I guess I've had a testimony of the church my whole life, a mormon is how I've always described myself and I just know it's true. The Gospel is my rod, my sure foundation in a time where it seems like everything is always changing. When I've had a hard day at work I go to my knees, when it seems like nothing is going the way it should I can turn to Jesus Christ through prayer and somehow everything works out in the end even if in the moment nothing is working out. I don't know what I would do without the church or the Gospel in my life, I do know that life would be a lot harder for me though.
Personal Stories
Please explain the part prayer plays in your life?
Prayer is very important to me. I can't get through a day without it because I work really hard and rarely have a moment to spare. Life can ware me down sometimes, but working and putting the rest of my energy into being a mother takes more than I have most days so I have to rely on prayer. Most problems I can't solve on my own and a lot of the time there is more to worry about then I care to think about so I take all my problems and worries and lay then at the feet of the Lord through prayer. Then I get up and work hard knowing that when I've given my all and it's not enough He will make up the difference.
How I live my faith
I focus on the basics; I read my scriptures, say my prayers, attend my church meetings, spend every waking moment I can with my family, and go to the temple as often as possible.
