Hi, I'm Andrew
I use a wheelchair to get around. I grow my own food. I cook food from scratch and I smile a lot. I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I am a single man about forty years of age. I broke my back when I was eighteen years old. I use a wheelchair to get around. I had joined The Chrurch of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints about a month before.
I try to grow my own food in my gardens. I play a roleplaying game called Dungeons & Dragons with my friends. I love cooking and bake my own bread and most other foods from scratch.
Why I am a Mormon
I am a Mormon because of the Holy Ghost. I recognised the impression He made upon me and I followed.
A friend of a friend described the church and I asked if I could go along. They said, 'Yes.' They carried on describing more of it and I asked if I could go that Sunday, they said ,'Yes.' again.
I didn't investigate the church to start off with. I just enjoyed learning and understanding. A few weeks later I invited the Missionaries to teach me.
The feeling I had when I first heard the church described I recognised and knew that it was right.
Personal Stories
How can we develop greater harmony in our homes?
A lot of the time I believe people aren't really listened too. So listening, really listening and hearing what people say. Once everyone is heard and understood everything is clear to make decisions that benefit everyone. Having the Gospel of Jesus Christ means we can have faith, patience and tolerance until we can make a harmonic choice based on the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
I always find prayer is a great way to bring unity to people. Also forgiveness and reliance on the promptings of the Holy Ghost bring great rewards.
How has your knowledge of the Plan of Happiness changed/benefited your life?
Now that I know what it's all about I can act and choose accordingly to make, or allow, it to happen. I am often happy with the knowledge I have and more gloriously so when I act in accordance with the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Everything and everyone has a value now. It all fits together to help everyone be happy.
In every moment there is something good that can be done.
How I live my faith
I have a personal testimony of Jesus Christ, of Heavenly Father and of the Holy Ghost. I try to spend a lot of time praying and understanding what they would have me do.
A lot of my time is trying to recognise, everyday, the little things that I can do around me that are good, that bless peoples lives. It is not always easy but it always rewarding and that hopefully for those people.
It's not very often that it comes along but teaching about the truth is very valuable to me. This helps friends come unto Christ and recieve more joy for themselves.
