Jana: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Jana

I have experienced the pain of infertility and the joy of adoption. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy reading, exercising, and learning new things. I am a new mom and I love it. My husband and I recently adopted our a baby boy. He has brought so much joy and happiness into our home.

Why I am a Mormon

I am grateful to have a knowledge of Christ's gospel. It has brought me peace and hope during difficult times in my life. While going through infertility treatments and waiting for the opportunity to adopt our son and I turned to God for strength and peace. I received help from Him through the scriptures and through prayer. God does answer prayers. He loves us and will help us. Sometimes we forget this, or grow impatient in the midst of our difficult trials. But if we turn to Him we will feel peace and we will not have to bear our burdens alone.

Personal Stories

In what ways have your prayers been answered?

As my husband and I underwent infertility treatments I said many prayers pleading and begging God to bless us with a child. Years came and went without receiving the answer I sought. This was difficult. I prayed that I wouldn't lose faith in God, and that I could accept His will, receive peace, and experience joy during this difficult time. As I turned to Him that prayer was answered. My husband and I pursued adoption as a way to grow our family. I offered up many more prayers to God that we would be able to adopt a child. It was an amazing and joyful experience when this prayer was answered. I am grateful I did not give up on God. I am grateful He helped me find peace during this trial, and I am humbled and grateful God has blessed me with such an wonderful son.

How I live my faith

I live my faith on a daily basis by taking time to focus my thoughts on God and on His Son, Jesus Christ. I spend time reading the scriptures and praying and then I try to follow the Savior's example in my daily activities. I am fortunate enough to be able to stay at home full time to care for my son. I love taking care of him and I try to meet his needs as patiently and lovingly as I can.

I also have the opportunity to teach a group of 4 year olds at church each week. I teach them about God's commandments and about Jesus Christ. They are full of energy and I enjoy spending time with them.
