Hi, I'm Kelsey Burton
I'm a photographer in the making and a Mormon.
About Me
I'm currently a student pursuing a degree in Art in the hopes of becoming a freelance photographer. I enjoy traveling, disneyland, no- bake cookies, and music. I also play the piano and sing. A goal I have to come to realize I want to do in my life is create a charity with my photography. I hope to make a difference someday.
Why I am a Mormon
I am Mormon because of the happiness I have. Even through enduring hard times in my life, I have been able to find the happy times and circumstances I am in. I also appreciate the growth I have had and continue to have because of my faith. I continue to be a Mormon because I have seen where I could be, and that is not a place I want to be in. I enjoy the happiness that others feel when they join Christ's church. I am Mormon because I know my Heavenly Father knows me and loves me. To feel the love of a father means everything to me and for that I am grateful. And to show my gratitude to my Heavenly Father, what more can I do then follow Him and His Son.
Personal Stories
How has attending Church services helped you?
There have been many times when I have attended church services and meetings where I have hear something that I had been needing to hear, either for that specific time or for a previous challenge I had undergone. There is always more we can learn in the church that will help us and comfort us.
How I live my faith
It is not always easy, but one big thing that makes it a little bit easier is I pray everyday. I don't just pray, I talk to Heavenly Father as if He is sitting right next to me. Knowing that there is someone who understands me and is rooting for me, makes me want to work harder to be better each day.
One big way is through example.I try to fulfill my callings in the church as much as possible. I've had the opportunity to work with the women of the church and that has helped me want to be better. Within my community at school, I have participated in a lot of things with the school, which helps me be the best example I can be to the students body and administration. So just getting involved strengthens my faith and makes me want to be a better person every day.
