Hi, I'm Shari.
I compose music. I write children's stories. I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I am a daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend. My college degree is in elementary education, but I have chosen to stay home with my four children. I love running, flowers, art and laughing, but I am passionate about books and writing.
Why I am a Mormon
I love my Savior, Jesus Christ. His atoning sacrifice is real to me. As Isaiah said, "He hath borne our griefs and carried our sorrows . . . and with his stripes we are healed." This knowledge as well as living His gospel brings peace and purpose to my life. It is through Him that I have found true joy and happiness.
Personal Stories
Why do Mormons go on missions?
We serve as missionaries because we want to share with others the peace and happiness we feel because of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I went on a mission to Washington D.C. some twenty-five years ago. What a wonderful experience meeting so many new people and sharing my beliefs with them, giving them an understanding of what our church is all about.
How I live my faith
I am a den leader in the cub scout program. I also play the piano for my congregation's choir. I love kids and music, so these are perfect activities for me. I also check in on some friends each month to see how they are doing. These visits have been some of the most enjoyable experiences I have had. What a blessing to have so many neighbors who I consider to be good friends.
