Curtis!: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Curtis!

I'm an actor, a sibling-wrestler, I have mad banjo skills, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving as a full-time missionary in the Texas Fort Worth Mission! I'm a theatre major, and once my mission is over, I'll go back to school to complete my degree. I like the outdoors, hiking, fishing, exploring, wilderness survival, and other such activities. I write plays, and I love to perform! I'm not a husband or a father... yet. But I plan on being both some day. My cheeks are REALLY red. Why? I don't really know. My guess is it's a superpower, but reason says otherwise. That's okay. Red cheeks is a dumb superpower anyways.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because God revealed through the Holy Ghost that Joseph Smith was a prophet and the Book of Mormon is the word of God. If God told you that a church is true, wouldn't YOU join it? That's what I did!

Personal Stories

How can your talents and gifts bless others?

Spencer W. Kimball, a prophet who lived in our day, taught "God does notice us, and he watches over us. But it is usually through another person that he meets our needs. Therefore, it is vital that we serve each other." My talents and abilities help build others and bring them closer to God. I can be an answer to prayer as I serve others!

How does making right choices help us make more right choices?

Just like learning to play a music instrument, when you do it for the first time, it may take a few tries to get it right or you might not be very good at it. But when you practice you get better at it. The more you do it, the easier it comes to you. not only that, but there are so many benefits that come from choosing the right. You live a happier life, and God blesses you for living righteously! That seems like pretty good insentive to me.

Why do Mormons go on missions?

Mormons go on missions for many reasons. There are a lot of different reasons that I went on a mission. I want to be a good example for my siblings, both older and younger, and I know that serving the Lord for two years far from home will help them and myself, as well as the people I can help out here. I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ brings peace, happiness, and comfort in a world that doesn't supply much of any of those. That's why I am in Texas. To make people happy!

How I live my faith

I try to live the way that Chirst Himself taught us to live. He laid the perfect example, so I'm trying to follow in his footsteps. Right now, I devote all of my time and energy to serving him. My purpose is to invite others to come unto Christ by helping them recieve the Restored Gospel through Faith in Jesus Christ and his Atonement, Repentance, Baptism, Recieving the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and Enduring to the End. As I do so, I know that I am doing God's will here on earth.
