Hi, I'm Julie
I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I am a Mom and a wife. I like to have fun and spend time with my family. I support higher eductaion. And I am a avid Boise State Broncos Fan.
Why I am a Mormon
Before I became LDS, I was rasied Lutheran. My Grandfather was a Lutheran Preacher before he passed on. My Uncle is still a bishop in the Lutheran Church. Growing up Lutheran I went to church because I had to, not because I wanted too. I never felt the Heavenly Father alot. Then I met a wonderful man and he was LDS and so I heard many things about the Church, some good and some bad but, I wanted to discover for myself what was true and what was false and what the church was all about. Then I started to take the lessons from the missionaries, and after the lessons I found out that my heart was hardened and I couldnt join the church yet. Then a good friend of ours who was LDS also started reading the scriptures with me and disscusing any questions I had. I remember that it was pioneer day and this friend had come over to discuss with me why it was so improtant to us as Mormans, as I was reading from the Book Of Mormon a feeling came over me and filled me up with so much warmth and happiness. I knew that the Book Of Mormon was true at that moment. I then went and prayed and was told that everything I had learned was true. I then took the lessons again and knowing it was true I made the decision to get baptized. And on November 22nd 2009 I became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I can testify to you that ever since I became a member I have never felt closer to the Heavenly Father and I am filled to the core with the Holy Ghost. It has made my life a whole lot better. I know that the Church is theTRUE and correct Church and I am assured of that everyday.
How I live my faith
I now have a 2 year old little girl, and we are teaching her to sing songs and learn gospel principles. I teach 8 and 9 year old in Sunday School each week. I also go visit a few sisters in the ward at least once a month. I like to sing and I joined the ward Choir. By reading the scriptures and saying daily prayers to my Heavenly Father I enjoy my life and my faith more then I ever thought possible.
