Brandon: football, mission, Utah, Ohio, Michigan, baptism, Mormon.

Hi, I'm Brandon

I love my family, my football and I am loving the service I render as a representative of the Lord Jesus Christ. I am a mormon!

About Me

I am currently serving in the greatest mission there is...THE Ohio Cleveland Mission! I love being a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It has taught me a lot and has helped me to grow. And the best part of it is, I wasn't noticing the changes until lately. I can honestly say I have not thought of myself as I have gone out to try and serve my fellow brothers and sisters and bring them home. I don't even miss my football and music as much anymore (I was a football player and a singer). I just want to do this for the rest of my life!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church and was taught by amazing parents. I am a Mormon because I recieved a solid answer, that I know this Church is true, that the Book of Mormon was translated by the power of God through Joseph Smith. I know we have a living prophet on the earth today, his name is Thomas S. Monson.

Personal Stories

What is hope and what do you hope for?

Hope is needing something or desiring what is right. For me, I hope that everyone I meet or that sees me can see that I truly love people and that when they see me they think of Christ. That's what I hope for.

How has the Book of Mormon brought you closer to God?

I have gained such a great understanding that I never had before in my life. Now, I have seen more and more how to apply what the Book of Mormon teaches me into my actual life. It has opened my eyes and has helped me to learn.

Can you talk about the missions of the Church and your participation in them?

The mission I serve in is the Ohio Cleveland Mission. We cover the top third of the state of Ohio and small portions of West Virginia and Pennsylvania. There are mission all over the world and not just in the U.S. We go out in pairs (Doctrine and Covenants Section 42 Verse 6) and find people ready to recieve the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and serve others by helping them in anything they need. We also build up the faith in our active members and try to help those who aren't as active in the faith.

How can your talents and gifts bless others?

Anyone that wants to talk football you will be my best friend right there! I am a really good listener though. I will be open and listen to whatever you have to say about how you feel, your ideas and your opinions. I am also very loyal, even if you get upset at me and send me away, I'll keep coming back to help you in whatever way I can. I let you know that I'm still around no matter where you're at.

Could you talk about your baptism?

I was baptized when I was 8 years old on June 5th, 1999. My dad was the one who baptized me because he had the authority. The water was really warm. As my dad was saying the words required to be baptized, I was getting what I now call an adrenaline because I knew something big was about to happen. I was submerged and as I was coming up out of the water, I felt something being left behind me. It literally felt like I left something in the water. I felt an impression that Heavenly Father was proud of what I just did in making my first covenant with him. I felt warm all day long. It was amazing!

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission in the great state of Ohio! I have the blessed oppurtunity to serve so many people and help teach them about our loving Heavenly Father, our Savior Jesus Christ, and how the Gospel can help change their lives. I have already seen miracles and have seen even myself grow and change to become the man the Lord would have me to be.
