I`m from brazil, i grew up in maceio, brazil. i`m a happy missioanry in england, and i`m a mormon.

About Me

i`m now in a mission in england, my name`s Elder Thales, i`m 21 years old and i have few weeks in the mission, but i already learned even most of the 6 years i already have learned in the church. i can say that the missionary work, is something AMAZING, beacuse of the joy we can have sharing the messege of the fulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ... I`m brazilian and i`ve never liked been in a church, but i always have missed something in my heart, something very special was missing, and when the missionaries said that i`m a children of God and i could know for my self that ai can have my family for all the ethernity, i was amazed... and by the power of the Holy Ghost i came to know that this is his true church Today i can say i`m very happy, and this life is not "just be here". it is much more than this, and our ethernal Father Gives us the opportunit to be like him... and be with him again. mathew 548 Never been more happy than i`m today.

Why I am a Mormon

I had the opportunity to come to know that Jesus Christ is my savior, my redeemer, my Creator... I`m a Mormon because i came to know by the power of the holy ghost we can know which church is the true one. and even if is there to many confusion(God is not confusion) we can know that through prayer. we can know the truth of all things, by the Holy Ghost.
the gospel of Jesus Christ changed my life completely. it showed me what was the best way to live, the good things we can learn, even in a strange world; that this is the time for us to prepare to meet God, and we can do this through Faith, repentance, baptism, receive the gift of the Holy Ghost and endure to the end.
There`s nothing better than feel the love of the Savior during this life, there`s no better feelings than the feelings that He sends for you when we do what He says.

Personal Stories

Think about your everyday activities. What are things you act upon each day where you cannot see the end results? How does faith move you to action?

Before i have known the missionaries, i was a teenager of 15, and even in some difficults i could undurstand for myself that this life has more. i can have more happyness than i think i have doing something wrong. the Gospel came in the right time, as i was searching for this more, and when i met the missionaries, was like i colud recoginaze them, as my friends. and beacuse of this happyness i have to them they will always have my gratitude...

they broght the true chruch of Jesus Christ.

we can think about how can God be confused, when we say that all the churches that talk about Him are true, we are saying that He`s confused, but i konw that He is not, He is perfect and He is our ethernal Father, and He love us more than we can ever imagine. we have to be curious in begining, search for the spirit, search for the Truth on the Gospel of Jesus Christ the same i`ve came to know.
in james15 says that if we want to know something, we can ask God what is the way, and with His love, He will gives us an answer. I know this!

How I live my faith

i`m a missionary, i have to do, to be obedient to God`s commandments and then preach the gospel until the end, even after the 2 years of my mission. i believe in living the word for myself and then helping other to find the truth of the Gospel.

What do Mormons believe about "eternal life?"

Ethernal life generaly could be described for people as live forever, but in the plan of salvation of God, it has anotehr meaning... that is be in God`s presence.

Who founded Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

I went on a bicycle ride one day with a friend of another faith. He was a believing Christian but told me as we rode that he believed churches and organized religion are unnecessary and that the best way to find truth is to look everywhere. He bought into the notion that there are "many ways to the top of a mountain."

I think there's truth in that view, too. I believe that God wants us to find truth everywhere we can get it. And yet something nagged at me about his view. As we hit the steeper part of our ride, I said, "I think that's a cop out." (We have a pretty comfortable relationship - we talk pretty bluntly with each other). "If there is a God, don't you think He'd have an opinion about what's right and what's wrong? And don't you think He would have a plan for His children? And finally, don't you think He'd want us to know the truth about that plan? If so, how can you believe He would not create some credible and organized way to help us figure out what is true?"

Throughout history that way has been to reveal the truth through prophets. As my friend and I spoke he saw more clearly that there was no reasonable argument for why God would say, "2000 years ago prophets were a really good idea. But today I changed my mind."

Joseph Smith did what prophets always do. He revealed new scripture that confirms all that we had before. He restored God's full Gospel. And he pointed us to Christ. I know Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God. And now my friend does, too.
