About Me

I am from Utah and was raised in the church. I have played soccer since the age of 4 and have played with pros including David Beckham. I love making people happy, and being around the people I love. I am currently serving a Spanish speaking mission in Raleigh North Carolina and I LOVE IT!

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because my parents are too... but that doesn't mean I was born with a testimony. When I was 17 I clearly remember the firtst time I got on my knees, and prayed to my Heavenly Father to know whether or not the Book of Mormon, and church was true. The overwhelming feeling I experienced testified to me that my Father in Heaven was pleased with my decision to ask Him in faith. I know without the slightest shadow of a doubt that Jesus Christ died for me and for whoever is reading this. He knows you, and understands what you are going through. He paved a perfect path, and I testify that if you do ALL that you can to follow that path, your happiness will be abundant!

How I live my faith

I am serving as a missionary of the church, in North Carolina, sharing the gospel with hispanic people. I have grown and seen miracles happen in my service thusfar. As a missionary, I help others receive blessings that come through the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

We need a Savior because "no unlclean thing" can be in the presence of God. We are not perfect, so Christ makes up what we could not. This is called mercy. We must repent to receive that mercy.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Absolutely not! I grew up in the church and I'd say the number of people that I've helped in the church is significantly smaller than the number of people I've assisted out side the church. This is not to say I don't help my fellow church members. We believe that we are all children of our Heavenly Father. And by that reasoning we are all brothers and sisters. I take that to heart and when I see someone in need I try to help to the best of my ability and training. Organized service projects aside, I've helped several stranded motorists on the side of the road. I give food to people I've seen that appear to be hungry on the side of the road. And for a long time, when I was growing up, my dad and I would do Meals on Wheels for those in need. I've volunteered at soup kitchens more recently. And during times of widely known hurricanes, I've volunteered on clean up crews multiple times. There is a song we have in our church called "Because I Have Been Given Much." I don't want to post the entire lyrics here, but they are available on a popular search engine. That song is very poignant to me and has always been near and dear to my heart. Also being a former Boy Scout, I have tried to uphold both the Scout Law and Oath to this day. I love my Heavenly Father, and I love my fellow man and want to do all I can to help others in any way I can.
