I'm a Mormon. I have a testimony that the Church is true.

About Me

I am married with 4 chidren, 3 boys and a girl. 2 have served missions and have been married in the Tempmle. 1 is preparing to serve a mission while the other is still at school. I am a Parenting Co-ordinator and arrange classes to help parents to be more effective and to enjoy being a parent.

Why I am a Mormon

The teachings of the Church help me to be a better person and to lead a more meaningful life. It has helped me to develop talents and to make super friends.

How I live my faith

I currently work in Relief Society which is for the sisters over 18 in the Church. I help to teach lessons on Sundays. I also teach Seminary which is a gospel study class for 14-18 year olds. We hold classes each day and the spirit felt in these classes is tremendous.

What is done with the tithing that Mormons pay?

Tithing is used for building chapels, temples and for providing manuals etc to teach each other from.

Tithing is paid in faith. I know these funds will not be misused. I pay tithing because it is a commandment, and because I love God and want to give Him back a small porion of what He has given me, to futher build up His church. These funds go to build and maintain church buildings and temples and other like expenses. Our clergy is not paid. There is no collection plate. We simply pay our tithing, our fast offerings, we share what we have gladly. This is God's way. For this is God's church.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Perhaps one of the greatest blessings I have received by being a Mormon is a concrete understanding of the purpose of life. We believe that every human being is a literal child of Heavenly Father. We lived with Him in Heaven before we were born on earth. Our purpose in life is to keep His commandments, so that we can be worthy to return to live with our Father in Heaven again after we die. We cannot be worthy without allowing the Atonement of Jesus Christ, the Savior, to cleanse us of sin.
