I'm a father, a student, an Army brat, a geek, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've spent my entire life moving across the United States. Currently I am working towards my Master's degree while I juggle being a husband and father. My family is my life. The time that isn't spent with them playing and laughing is spent studying and working hard to provide for my family.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was fourteen, I read the Book of Mormon and took the challenge at the end of the book. I prayed and asked Heavenly Father if it was true. At that moment, I knew the truth for myself because the Holy Spirit whispered to me. Since then I have felt many more whisperings telling me that this is Christ's church on the earth today. I may have been raised in this church, but I had to decide for myself if it was something I wanted to believe in. I've faced many crossroads and challenges, but the Lord has stood by me and so I continue to follow Him.

How I live my faith

I choose to live my faith by doing what Jesus would have me do. I read the scriptures and pray daily. I love and serve my family. When asked to help others, I offer what service I can.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

One of the sweetest doctrines of this church is that families can be married forever and always. I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to live with my beautiful wife and children for time and all eternity. Because the Priesthood, or authority, of God is on the earth again, couples can enter the walls of the sacred temple and be sealed, eternally bound, to have their marriage endure beyond death. The Lord since the days of Adam and Eve has put man and woman together as families and asked them to replenish the earth. He wants us to enjoy that familial relationship not only here but forever.

YES!!! This is one of my favorite parts of the gospel. I believe that my family will live together in heaven. I will know my family as my family members. My husband is my husband for now and for all eternity. My children are my children here on earth and for all eternity. I know that if something happened to one of us that I will see them again. I love this about the church. Before joining, I always had a question about this concept and when taking the discussions from the missionaries this came up. Makes me love the church more and more.
