I live in Ohio. I am a Husband, Dad, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have 4 children. They are my life. When people ask me, 'What I do for fun? Its easy I play with my kids! I can't find anything else that is more rewarding. Of course, there is work. I am the Sales Manager of a large distributor of consumer products, and I direct our sales team in the 3 states we operate.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been blessed greatly to have felt of the Spirit of our Heavenly Father. I know he is real, that he lives, and that his Son Jesus Christ lives. I know that he has restored his Church, in its fullness here on Earth once more, and that he wants us to return to live with him again. This is something I know with all my heart, because I have studied his scripures, and prayed to know if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is his true church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by, serving the Lord in any way that I can. I have worked with the young children, the youth, the scouts, and each month with a companion, I visit the homes of several families in our congregation to offer my help if at all possible, and to share a brief uplifting message. Although I fall short, I try to live my life in a way that would be pleasing to my Father in Heaven. Daily I try to pray, study the scriptures, and look for opportunites to help others.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

Temples are the most sacred places on Earth because they are built and dedicated by prayer to be literally the 'House of the Lord'. A place where his Spirit can be felt stronger than anywhere else on Earth. In them, we learn about and officiate in things pertaining to Eternal life. Such as baptism for those who may not have heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ while they were on the Earth. And the Sealing of families together forever, not just in this life but for eternity (see Matt. 16:19). Our Father in Heaven wants us all, as a his family, the human family, to return to live with him again. Temples help make that possible.

A temple is a house of the Lord, a place where we may worship our Heavenly Father and feel of His presence. It is a sacred place where no unclean thing can enter. Because of the importance and sacredness of the temple, a temple recommend is required and is received based on individual worthiness within the church in order to enter its holy walls.

The temple is where I go to find answers, to find peace, and to feel the Spirit. We are encouraged to go as often as possible and to attend seeking Spiritual guidance. Inside we perform sacred ordinances for ourselves and more often for others, those who are deceased. God requires that all to make covenants in order to return to His presence and many died without the opportunity to make these covenants. In the temple we perform the ordinances for them in their name giving them the opportunity to reject or accept the ordinance and thus enter into the presence of the Father. The temple is a very sacred and holy place.

What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

We read in Genesis that one of God's first commandments to Adam and Eve was to "multiply and replenish the Earth." We believe that marriage between a man and a woman is ordained of God, and the only appropriate means of multiplying and replenishing the Earth. Keeping this in mind, any sexual act that takes place that is not between a man and a woman, joined together in marriage, is forbidden.
