I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was baptized in August of 1995 while in basic training for the Army Reserves. I had little religious activity during my childhood and became intrested as a teen. I was seventeen when I was baptized. This was after a long list of little things that led the way.

Why I am a Mormon

This is the only faith that I have truly experienced the Holy Sprit and felt comfortable. This is after going to a couple of Lutheran churches and Cathlic churches.

How I live my faith

I attend sacrament and partake of the sacrament on Sundays and read the scriptures. I follow the Word of Wisdom and pray daily. I offer aid to those I can and when I have been called to serve I serve with all I have.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Simply by trying to. If you have a desire to increase your faith in Jesus Christ, try to do it. Start by praying. Read his words in the Bible. Try to put them into practice. For example, he told us to "love one another." Try and follow that teaching. Be nice to others, help people who might have less than you, smile... As you do so, you will notice a change come over you. You might feel more peace in your life, a calm enter your mind, or a warm feeling that seems to say you're doing the right thing. These things help you realize your faith is growing. Faith is an action word. If you put action behind your belief, I have found that it will grow.

How do you increase your muscle mase? You work out, eat healthy, keep your mind sharpe, and do things right and correctly. Same thing is with our faith in Jesus Christ. We need to use our faith in Him. We do that by doing what he has asked us to do, and follow His example in all things. We will not know what life holds for us until we go and do things to expand our knowledge. The same thing is with faith. Try accomplishing one of His commandments, and see the miricles and blessings and knowledge from doing it.

How can we stop the spread and influence of pornography?

I frequently hear people say that we need to protect children from pornography. That statement is true, but it forgets that adults are also damaged by the self-gratifying attitudes that pornography depicts. Pornography changes how we view each other. We should be politely vocal about our desire to avoid pornography. Pornography should not be forced upon us by our friends, government, employment, or entertainers. But it will be if we don't speak up about our values.
