Hi I'm Tanner
About Me
I am a returned missionary that served in the Washington Everett Mission. I have been home for a bit and I loved every minute of my mission. It has built my desire to share with others what I hold dear. I enjoy the things that get my blood pumping, like rock climbing, hiking, snowboarding, and playing sports.I enjoy learning new things and applying them in my life to see if they work. I love music and I play the guitar and piano, typical Mormon instrument. This is me, because of my faith! I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I'm a Mormon.
Why I am a Mormon
When I was 16 I faced a cross roads in my life, I could either stay with the faith that I had known sense my youth or I could go done a path that had started to open up in my life. This new life would take me far away from the life I knew as a member of the church. After much thought I realized that this new life brought me no happiness, that I was left feeling empty. I didn't like that and longed for the Joy and Hope that I had when I was fully committed to Christ. After turning back I remember getting a confirming witness from God through the Holy Ghost that this was what I needed to do. And sense then I have had opportunities to grow in my desire to live and share this message of hope and joy. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is Gods Kingdom once again established on the earth, I know that Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God, and I know this because of the Book of Mormon and the power of the Holy Ghost. The Book of Mormon is one of the many fruits that Joseph brought forth, by the power of God, to testify of his prophetic calling. All I had to do was read and pray about it and the Lord through His Holy Spirit testified to me that the Book of Mormon is true. I feel the same way now as I did when I was younger, I know that God lives, He sent His son to provide the way that we can return back to Him, I bare you my witness in the name of Jesus Christ amen.
How I live my faith
I have come to understand that the most powerful way to live your faith is through example. Doing what you say you believe, in every situation. I live my faith by being a good example. Looking for opportunities to serve and uplift others. Doing my best to develop Christ like attributes. As well as doing my best to stay positive. Which has been one of the hardest things for me to do:) It’s very easy to get depressed and discouraged.
