About Me

I am a stay-at-home mommy to three young children. I enjoy playing the piano, baking, sewing, taking pictures of my family, playing with my kids, and curling up with a good book. I love to learn new things and develop new hobbies. My husband and I have been married for twelve years, and we are so happy with our life together.

Why I am a Mormon

Though I was raised in the Mormon church, I had many opportunities while growing up to find answers for myself. I know my Savior lives and loves me, and that he's given us the restored gospel to help us navigate this life and return to live with our Heavenly Father.

In what ways have your prayers been answered?

My prayers have been answered in numerous ways, and in many varied circumstances. Sometimes the answer is "yes" and sometimes it is "no", or "not right now", but I always feel the love that our Heavenly Father has for me. He will not abandon us if we do not abandon Him, and He has given us prayer to draw closer to Him.

How I live my faith

Regular church attendance, scripture study, prayer, and temple attendance are all part of how I live my faith, but I think it's more than that too. It's how I strive to keep the promises I've made at baptism, to mourn with those that mourn and comfort those that stand in need of comfort, to stand as a witness of God at all times and in all things and in all places. I hope that the way I speak, act, and treat others shows my faith.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Not only is the family an important unit of society, we believe the family is eternal, divinely appointed to bless us in this life and in the next. Each of us plays an important role in our family. Husbands and wives are to love each other and support each other. Fathers and mothers are to provide for the temporal, emotional, and spiritual needs of their children. President David O. McKay taught that "no other success can compensate for failure in the home", and I believe this to be true. Nothing in this life will give me greater satisfaction than a happy marriage and family.

We believe that family relationships are the sources of life's greatest joys. We also believe that families can be together forever.

Are there restrictions based on race or color concerning who can join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have the priesthood?

No. We are fortunate enough in these days to have the blessings of the gospel and the Priesthood available to all. Unlike other times throughout the world's history, God has offered the Priesthood to every worthy male. Women are able to enjoy the blessings of the Priesthood through these men, and are invaluable in blessing the world through their attributes.
