I'm a Mormon. I grew up in California. I am married to a wonderful man, and we have an amazing family. I am a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I have wonderful children and beautiful grandchildren. The top priority in my life has been to raise our children, and now to be a really great grandma! I enjoy time with family and friends, organizing our home, cooking, reading, bicycling, and serving others.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it brings great joy into my life, even in the face of hardships. I am a Mormon because I know that our Savior, Jesus Christ, and Heavenly Father love us, individually, and they want for us to have true meaningful happiness and to return to live with them. I am grateful to my parents for listening to the missionaries when I was an infant, for changing their lives for the better, and paving the way for me to receive all the blessings I have because of my membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am a Mormon because it is true.

Personal Stories

How has your knowledge of the Plan of Happiness changed/benefited your life?

When my father passed away 18 years ago I became more grateful than ever for the Plan of Happiness and the knowledge of its reality. I know that I will see my dad again, that our family is eternal. More importantly, I know that my dad was worthy of having an eternal family. While it was heartbreaking to lose my dad, the knowledge I had of this great Plan of Happiness gave me strength. And while I continue to miss him and his influence in my life, I know that all will be well.

How I live my faith

I find great happiness in helping and serving others. For many years I have worked with the women in the church and have great love and admiration for them. I also take time daily to read the scriptures and to ponder what the gospel means to me in my life. I pray on a daily basis also. My goal is to continually improve my relationship with Jesus Christ.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

We increase our faith in Jesus Christ as we do other things in life. We exercise our bodies to gain strength and to be healthier. So it is with faith, we decide to have faith in prayer, so we pray more fervently. As we pray more fervently we feel closer to God, our Father. If we want to have more faith in Jesus Christ we study His teachings, and we follow His invitation to follow Him. As we do our faith increases and our love for His mission (His birth, life, teachings, atonement, resurrection) increases, and before we know it we not only believe, we know.

How do you increase your muscle mase? You work out, eat healthy, keep your mind sharpe, and do things right and correctly. Same thing is with our faith in Jesus Christ. We need to use our faith in Him. We do that by doing what he has asked us to do, and follow His example in all things. We will not know what life holds for us until we go and do things to expand our knowledge. The same thing is with faith. Try accomplishing one of His commandments, and see the miricles and blessings and knowledge from doing it.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

No. We admire Joseph Smith and consider him a prophet of God and follow his teachings as we do with Moses and other prophets of old. The thing that makes Joseph Smith unique amongst prophets is that he helped to bring the Church of Jesus Christ back to the earth after a period of darkness which is known as the Great Apostacy.
