Jacob Fisher: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Jacob Fisher

I'm a Latter day Saint.

About Me

Hi, I am a covert to the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The church is amazing and I know the gospel is true.
I'm Nineteen and I like to do a lot of stuff. I enjoy hiking and playing sports like; Basketball, Football, and Baseball. I'm not going to College right now. I'm actually serving a Mission in Alaska for Two years, from July 2011 to July 2013. I enjoy getting letters and if you want to write me send me an email at jacob.fisher@myldsmail.net.
I love doing just about anything. When I get home from my mission I will be working with some kinda of Law Enforcement and going to School in Texas, where my family lives. I enjoy meeting new people so if you do to email me!

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel is so amazing and It helps my testimony.
I come from a family who has gone to church, not the LDS church. We were members of the Methodist church. Before I joined the LDS Church I was looking for answers to questions and if there was more out there.
I joined the Church in January of 2010. I had been investigating the Church for about a year and a half before I decided I wanted to get Baptized. Partially, my parents didn't want me to get baptized while I was still in High School at the time, but I wanted to get baptized. I just couldn't so I had to wait. I didn't start meeting with the Missionaries until six months before I got baptized. The nine months before I met with the Missionaries, I was reading the Book of Mormon with a Friend and trying to find out more about the Church.
I was finishing up my Junior year in High School and I wanted to be baptized, but my parents wouldn't let, I was seventeen at the time. I was going into my Senior year of School. I was meeting with the Missionaries off and on. It was good because I was able to get a true understanding of the lessons and the Church, so I could actually be ready to be baptized.
Two weeks, before my eighteenth birthday, January 24,2010. I decided I wanted to get Baptized on my birthday. A week later I talked to my parents and they said I could get baptized only if it was something I wanted to do. It was something I truly wanted to do!

Personal Stories

How has the Holy Ghost helped you?

The Holy Ghost has directed me and given me truth of a lot of things. It has given me comfort and joy and happiness in my Life. It has testified to me that we have a Heavenly Father who loves us and that Jesus Christ is our Savior and that Christ's Church is built on the earth once again.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday and I attend the Temple as much as I can. I try to go out with the missionaries. I also be myself and talk about my faith to everyone I talk to.
