Hi, I'm Jordan
I'm pretty much a ninja... I'm a knucklehead haha, I'm an easy going guy, I love to have fun, and I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I was raised LDS in Colorado and later moved to Southern Utah. I love playing all types of games. Sports, video games, board games, and anything else that gets the mind or body pumping. I love to be outside and to explore this beautiful world we live in. I love movies, music, and being around others. And the biggest thing is I like to mess around and have fun with my loved ones.
Why I am a Mormon
Originally I was born into the Church but never had a real testimony of the Savior or his church and when I did feel it was right it was always wishy washy. At times I felt so great about the church and other times I would question whether or not if I only had a testimony because I was born into the church and that's how I was raised. One day when I was around the age of 15 one of my closest friends called me up and said out of the blue "Hey you know those missionary guys that are always at your house? Well how do you become one?" Shortly after we introduced him to the missionaries and he later committed to to be baptized. This made me realize that maybe there was something more to the church because it definitely caught my best friend's eye. So a couple years pasted and I had found myself in Utah with my family. We had decided to move and I didn't realize how hard it would be to move half way through high school. I eventually made some great friends to help me get through high school but as the time came to decide to go on a mission I had found myself unprepared and half committed. Ever since I was small I've always wanted to be a missionary but time came closer to actually leave my home, my family, my friends, my girlfriend, and everything else for the next 2 years of my life on my own time and money and go somewhere I've never been and talk to complete strangers about religion everyday, I knew I need to find out right then and find out once and for all if this is what was right, if it really wasn't just what I was raised to be, and if this church really was true. There is a verse in the Book of Mormon that I had read that stuck out to me (Moroni 10:3-5) that says something along the lines of if you ask God the Eternal father in the name of Jesus Christ, with a sincere heart and faith to act upon your answer, he will give you your answer. He has since bore witness through the Holy Ghost and I KNOW it is true and I can no longer deny that "His" Church is restored.
Personal Stories
Which of the Savior’s teachings have influenced you?
To love your fellow man was as Christ said the second most important commandment other than, love God with all your heart. I think it's hard to love everyone, especially your enemies. But the more I strive to love others the more I can feel his love. Just imagine what the world would be like if everyone loved one another regardless of race, gender, religion, etc. just as the Savior taught. I try to follow this principle in all that I do,think, and say to try and be like Christ and to try to help make the world a better place. The teachings of the Savior are all marvelous and I think at times everyone we all stumble on his path, but I know that as everyone regardless their position would follow this teaching, the adversary would lose almost (if not all) of his power here on Earth.
How does making right choices help us make more right choices?
It's truly quite amazing! making a right has a snow ball effect most of the time. As we try to do good we feel God's love and we know that he is pleased when we make right choices and the more we feel his love and influence in our lives, the more we desire to continue to have it.
How I live my faith
I'm living my faith right now as a full time representative of the Lord Jesus Christ. I'm trying to be like him and inviting others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through Faith in Jesus Christ, Repentance, Baptism, Receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and Enduring to the end. Sometimes endurance can be a difficult thing to acquire but if we can put our lives into the Lord's hands and try to follow in his footsteps it can be made possible.
