Don: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Don

I am a physicist who loves fly-fishing, hiking, and wood working I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and father with four children. My educational background is in physics, computer science and electrical engineering. I am the first in my family born in the US. My family emigrated from Sweden just before I was born. I like spending my time with my family. I enjoy flyfishing, photography, woodworking, reading and the out of doors. I speak Swedish fluently.

Why I am a Mormon

My initial contact with the church came as a little boy, having been born into a family belonging to the church. As I grew I became very aware of my family's love for their Swedish culture. My question was, what had brought them all this way from their homeland...and the answer, to be able to enjoy the blessings of the temple and the ordinance eternal marriage only available in the temple, and there was no temple in Sweden at that time. These sacrifices of my parents for their family lead me to study the gospel on my own, and resulted in my strong conviction of it's truthfullness and a clear appreciation for the many blessings available through living the precepts of the gospel. I decided to share these gifts that I had become so aware of and was able to serve a full time mission to Sweden and return to my family's home land and share the truths which had brought me so much happiness...and continues to today.

How I live my faith

Everyday...I have spent many years teaching the youth both as an ecclesiastical leader and as a leader in the scouting organization. Working together with my wife, our children, and others. This has made possible countless service opportunities as we have worked within our community to help those in need, worked to beautify our city, and improve natural habitat to help protect our wildlife. Sunday school teacher, youth leader, are my most recent callings but over the years I have had many many others. Being of service to self, family, community, country, and God at all times and knowing that all we have is a gift and blessing from Him.
