Hi, I'm Katie
I'm a southern and a college student. I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I'm currently a junior in college, majoring in graphic design but am quite the science nerd. My dream job is to work as a designer for a book publisher or magazine. I love to read, travel, sing, watch movies especially action and scfi movies, cook, kayak and hike as well as spending time with my friends and family. I love being outdoors and being near water. I was part of my high school marching band and was a designer and editor on my high school newspaper. I am a club president at my university and am currently studying abroad in London, UK.
Why I am a Mormon
I grew up in the church, but it has been my choice to continue. As a teenager I had my doubts the church. I prayed to know if the church was true and received a knowledge beyond any doubt that it is. Since then, I have been blessed with continued affirmations that the gospel is true. Being a Mormon in the South isn't easy, but if I ever feel doubts come all I have to do is pray and I'll receive an answer—even if it's not in the way I expect.
How I live my faith
I live my faith everyday—it is an integral part of my daily life. I attend church every Sunday as well as various church activities throughout the week. As a teenager I served in leadership capacities in our young women's organization and have helped plan church activities as an adult.
