Karen: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Karen

I'm a wife, a mother, a nana, a Realtor & a Mormon.

About Me

I love being a mom, but even more than that I love being a Nana. I love my grandbabies....everything they do brings me joy. We love climbing trees and playing catch with any kind of ball that's around. I'm married to a wonderful man who challenges me every day to become a little better with each breath.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the unwaivering knowledge that I received from the sister missionaries that taught me as a young girl. I knew when they shared the gospel with my family that the things they taught were true. I received a personal witness as a young girl and have that witness confirmed each time I read the scriptures. And again as I witness the selfless service of so many wonderful disciples of Christ as they give and give without any personal gain.

Personal Stories

How has The Book of Mormon helped you understand the purpose of life?

The Book of Mormon is a constant witness of who we are, where we came from and why we have struggles in this life. By reading each day the Book of Mormon helps to solidify my testimony of a loving Father in Heaven who knows me personally. He knows of my struggles, he knows my weaknesses, but he also knows my strengths. He promises that He will always be there in the darkest hours as well as in times of great joy. This past year when we lost our beautiful grandson after just a few short hours of life, it was through the scriptures that I found solace. It was in prayer as I sought relief that I knew that I would indeed be reunited with our beautiful grandson. It is through the scriptures that I was able to comfort my grieving daughter and son-in-law as they gave their precious child back to God to keep him in safe arms until they can be together as a family again. It is only through reading the Book of Mormon daily that I can keep my wits about me as the world piles high the assault on those that I love. It is the scriptures that give me the strength to stay strong as I write letters to my son who is serving as a soldier in a far away land. It is through the words found within the pages that I renew my testimony on a daily basis. I know that the Book of Mormon is truely the word of God written and preserved for us today.

How I live my faith

I love the gospel. I have been blessed with the gift of Faith. I strive each day to be a little better than the day before. I stumble at times, but I always know that the Lord is there to pick me up and wipe my tears. I know that as I serve Him that lives will change. Mine has changed and is so full of constant affirmation that He Lives.
