I love theatre, movies, and I love to laugh.. I am a college student and currently I am serving as a missionary in Canada. I am an aunt of 19 nieces and nephews and I am the youngest of 7 children in my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because family is the most important thing to me and because I have the restored gospel in my life, I can be with my family for eternity. Everything that I believe in shapes who I am and who I want to become. The happiness found in believing in Jesus Christ is indescribable.

Mormons go on missions because the message of the restored gospel has brought us so much happiness, we want everyone to feel that same joy.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a full-time missionary in Nova Scotia, Canada. I get to share what I believe in with total strangers everyday and I love it. I love seeing others find happiness through the message we come to share.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Absolutely! President Thomas. S. Monson leads and guides Christ's church on the earth today. I know it, and I've felt it. You can know too just by hearing his words and then praying and asking God to know for yourself that he truly is a prophet and has that authority from God. Show more Show less

Absolutely. If God loved his children in ancient times enough to send them, does He love us any less? Prophets serve at least 2 purposes. In the past, Christ Jesus personally called prophets, apostles, evangelists, teachers, deacons, etc, according to the Apostle Paul. He uses such leaders to help move His great work forward, because it is through selfless service that we develop Christ-like qualities and allow us to be one with Him so that we may be One with the Father. Having a living prophet allows the Father to teach hitherto new principles or doctrine to all His children. We can always interpret scripture to meet our intimate needs through personal revelation via prayer and communion with the Holy Ghost. But the greatest acts of service are always done through the synergistic power of communities, whether they are a family or a nation. Our Father in Heaven understands this and he communes with his living prophet, Thomas S Monson, in order to bless the lives of all His children regardless of their circumstances or creeds. Why do some call Mormonism a cult?

Usually those who would refer to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints as a cult are merely uneducated as to what we believe. In many instances, those who try to critize don't realize that we have shared beliefs on some aspects. Many would call us "secretive" and that is why they believe we are a cult. However, those who would say that seem to overlook the fact that we go all across the globe telling as many people as will listen about what we are really about. Want to find out?
