About Me

Hi I'm Esita and I'm full time missionary in New York Rochester Mission!!! I'm a half Tongan and half Samoan But i proud to be a Tongan girl.... I love play volleyball and reading especially spent time with my family. I good on solve some problem in math but especially help to get family together to be happy!!! I also love teaching the gospel every where and i love to be a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

Because i want to live with my family forever!!!! I was convert to church when i was 9 years old by my brother introduce the church for my family. We learn with the missionary about the gospel and Plan of salvation that God gave to us. Finally i have a strong testimony about the things that the missionaries taught and i join the church. I know that God has a plan for everybody in the world. Because he love each of us I know my Savior lives.

How has the Book of Mormon brought you closer to God?

The Book of Mormon is a most powerful tools to lead you closer to God..... In a time i felt unhappy I turn to my Book of Mormon and read and then i pray for his guidance..... Book of Mormon help me a lots on my mission to come closer to God when time of difficult. I know that the Book of Mormon is true!!!!!!

Why do Mormons go on missions?

I am a currently serving a mission in New York Rochester Mission. I am so happy to serve a mission so i can help other people come closer to Heavenly Father. I want to share with everybody in the world the blessing that i receive from the gospel of Jesus Christ....... I want to let people know that God want them to return back to him. I know that God prepare a place for everyone to come and be happy as a family...... Jesus preach his gospel with other and I want to do serve a mission to preach the same thing that Jesus Christ preach when he was on earth because he love his children!!!!!!!!

How I live my faith

By reading the scriptures Book of Mormon and Bible and also listen to a council from the living Prophet in your day....President Thomas. S. Monson Listen to a music and watch movies that uplift my thoughts and my feelings closer to my Savior.

Let all see to the Bible in Jonh 2029 It said " Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, Because thou hast seen me, thou hast BELIEVED Blessed are they that have NOT SEEN, and yet have BELIEVED" In the Book of Mormon is say in Alma 3221 " And now as I said concerning FAITH - FAITH is NOT to have a PERFECT KNOWLEDGE of things therefore if ye have FAITH ye HOPE for things which are NOT SEEN which are TRUE......" We can see Faith is a thing that we believe without seen that thing but is true!!!!!!!!

Of all the definitions of faith I have read or heard, I add the simplest and most complete to me, which is the Love of Christ. I cannot think of a better way to describe faith. Love of Christ is the substance of hope in something evident we can not see with earthly eyes. It is the faith in Christ or the love of Christ that enabled Able to make a more perfect sacrifice (Hebrews 11:4). That love is why we believe in Christ, it is why we have grace, it is why we have works, it is why we have belief, it is why we have hope, it is why we have charity, it is the very essence of faith, and faith is the very essence of the Love of Christ

Perfect knowledge is worthless without faith. For instance, most of us have perfect knowledge that applying a pointed pencil to paper will cause a mark. That knowledge will not make a mark if we do not exercise the elements of faith called works (picking up the pencil, applying it to the paper, and making a mark), belief (that doing so will make a mark), and hope (that it actually will make a mark). It is my desire that you would exercise works to find out about Christ and study Him, that you would believe on His words and His life and His sacrifice, and that you would hope that He would have an effect in your life. If you exercise this faith, you will truly come unto Him.

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

Well, the Bible hasn't always existed, at least not in it's present form. The Old Testament is a collection of writing from ancient prophets and the New Testament is a collection of Christ's followers and apostles. Think about this, for thousands of years, God revealed truth about the purpose of life and direction of how we should live. Why, then did it stop?

After the Ascension of Christ into heaven, his Apostles carried on: teaching, building the church, acting under the authority of Christ. Not long into the growth of this newly founded church, others felt they knew better than these men (both in and out of the new Christian faith). Many leaders rejected the teaching of Paul and the other apostles (or at least distorted their meaning and intent) and taught things they found to be pleasing to their followers. This rejection/dstortion is called the Great Apostasy. It led to the death of the apostles and the withdrawal of God's authority on the earth. As a result, the Christian world claimed the Canon was closed and that we had all that needed to said from God.

The Restoration literally was the return of God's authority on the earth. We believe that God speaks to man and that the Canon is not closed, nor will it ever be. Revelation is the key to our salvation, because it is the only way we can truly come to know of the redeeming power of our Savior. That is why we needed the Restoration.
