Hi, I'm Kameron
I'm a Student, I'm a Singer, I'm a Mormon
About Me
My name is Kameron. I am a college student preparing to serve a mission. I am involved in music, especially men's a cappella music, and have been singing with a group for several years. I am way into barbecuing and good food. I am a big sports fan. But the best part is... I am a Mormon.
Why I am a Mormon
I am a Mormon because I want to be. I was born into a Mormon family, but I like many others have made the choice to convert myself to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The gospel gives me so much joy, comfort, and confidence in today's uncertain world. I just love being a part of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and having the wonderful knowledge of the gospel!
Personal Stories
Why do Mormons go on missions?
Mormons go on missions to invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored Gospel. Missionaries try to help people express faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, have the desire to be baptized, receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, and want to keep the Lord's commandments and endure to the end. I want to serve a mission to help others receive the great joy and blessings of the Gospel. It has brought me so much joy and knowledge in my life, and I very much desire that people everywhere can also experience this joy.
How can your talents and gifts bless others?
I love to sing and play musical instruments. I have found that music is a great medium for joy, not just for myself but for other people as well. I have had many opportunities to share my talents with other people through music and have seen the happiness it can bring to people, especially when the music expresses my love and testimony of our Savior, Jesus Christ. It is simply amazing how a testimony can be communicated through song. Other people can share their testimonies through a plethora of different abilities, including art, public speaking, and teaching. That is the joy and beauty of using our talents and gifts God has given us to bless others.
How I live my faith
I try my best to live my faith by example. I try to be the best person I can be. I also feel that living my faith includes investing my time and talents into helping myself and others in the Church progress spiritually. One of the things my friends and I have found that can really have a positive and powerful impact on people is sharing our testimonies of the gospel through music. Good music can really change people's lives. With a cappella music, which is singing without instruments, we use the voices that God gave us to spread joy and happiness to people. Overall, living by example, serving others, and spreading the joy is how I try to live my faith.
