I'm from Arizona, and after completing a few semesters of college, am now serving a mission. And I'm a Mormorn.

About Me

I'm 20 years old and I'm serving a Mission right now for my church. Before I served my mission I loved watching and playing basketball and football, on my mission I've learned to enjoy playing soccer too, we play once a week for preparation day. I also really like music, I play guitar and drums and enjoy writing my own songs.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the LDS church growing up, but I also worked very hard to know for myself if what I was being taught was true, by reading the scriptures often and praying every night, I was able to gain a testimony that the Book of Mormon is true, that Joseph Smith was a true prophet, and that we have a living prophet on the earth today, and that's why I'm a mormon.

How I live my faith

Right now I'm living my faith by serving a mission for my church. Serving a mission is a big sacrifice, for 2 years with no breaks you have to give up music, T.V., movies, friends, and other hobbies. However I'm willing to give those things up because serving a mission is a very rewarding experience, it brings joy into my life being able to help other people and see changes in their lives.

What do Mormons believe about the Holy Ghost? Who is the Holy Ghost?

Mormons believe the Holy Ghost is the third member of the Godhead, the first two members being God and his son Jesus Christ. God and Jesus Christ both have bodies of flesh and bones but the Holy Ghost does not. The Holy Ghost is a spirit. It is through the Holy Ghost that Heavenly Father answers our prayers, we can recgonize the presence of the Holy Ghost and answers to prayers by paying attention to our feelings. Do Mormons practice polygamy?

No, Mormons do not practice polygamy and discontinued the practice over a century ago. Yet, whenever I discuss my faith, often the first question asked is, "how many wives do you have?" It is important to know that the religious groups that currently practice polygamy, as often seen on the news, have no affiliation with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Even though some of these groups may claim otherwise.
