I'm a Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

About Me

I was born in Southern California. Since I was young I always loved to make people laugh and have a good laugh myself. When I got into High School I started to go into the arts of photography, cinematography, and digital media. I love to take pictures. I love to use the endless wonders of digital art programs to make all sorts of different styles of art. I also love movies and cartoons.

I am serving a Mission in the Eugene Oregon Mission and am having a blast serving the lord here in Oregon.
The people are great and it rains nine months out of the year if not more. I love it. The rain is so much fun and when the sun comes out of the endless cloudes it gives you such joy to see it again!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. But like everyone else I still had to find my own way. I am a Mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon and have prayed sincerely asking God if it is true, and if Joseph Smith was in fact a true prophet. I received my answer. YES! I know that Joseph Smith was called by God to restore his chuch back onto the earth along with his preisthood. I know that Tomas S. Monson is a prophet of God and that the twelve apostles are also ordained of God. I know for a fact and with every fiber of my being that the book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. That it does not take away from or add to the Holy Bible. That it is a seperate record that testafies of Jesus Christ, and that he lives.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by fallowing the great example of my loving savior Jesus Christ. I fallow the Commandments that have been given me and I couldn't be happier! Everyone allways tells me the things I can't do because I'm mormon. I laugh when they tell me these things becuase I am able to do so much more becuase I stay away from things that can harm my health or keep me from my family. I read the Book of Mormon daily along with the Bible. I stand up for my beliefs with a strong conviction and will do what the lord will have me do. I'm not perfect but I strive to do my best and make my weaknesses my streangths. I am currently serving a mission in Oregon and loving every minuet of it!!!

What do Mormons believe about family?

The simple answer to this question is this Families can be together for ever. Our family ties are not seperated by death. this simble sums up family ∞ , never ending bonds that last for eternity.

Death has no sting,
The grave has no hold.
Jesus reserection will bring
All of us back as fortold
We will live forever
With our families together,
Death shall be as never,
we will live now ever
In the Palace of Christ
Oh! isn't that just nice!

The family is a key component to support us in God's plan for gaining immortality and eternal life. All of God's children (all the inhabitants that lived, are living, and will live on Earth) are inseperably connected to each other, both (physically) by our Earthly families and (spiritually) by our Heavenly Father.

Families help us to understand our divine heritage. In this, life takes on purpose and meaning. Our immortal spirits were created by our Heavenly Father before Earthly existance, and we are directly connected to Him in this way. As a spiritual family, our collective purpose on Earth is to follow the commandments of God that lead us to live in heaven with Him again.

Our spirits need to progress, learn, and grow. In order to achieve that, Earthly existance was created as our test. Our Heavenly Father knew that being exposed to opposing forces on Earth was the only way for us to gain knowledge and wisdom.

However, we will not always choose righteousness, and so our Savior, Jesus Christ, is that great mediator to pay the debt of our mistakes. He is the only way by which we can be saved from our sins and transgressions. He is the ultimate example by which direction we need to live our lives. With the support of our earthly kin, we can learn from each other, serve each other, and strengthen our mortal weaknesses by being disciples of Christ. Our families are a gift from God, and we can be together forever.

What are some of the ways that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints helps those around the world?

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints provides humanitarian service in many different ways. For instance, members living in Salt Lake City give of their time to assemble hygiene kits and relief kits to help those who have been the recent victims of natural disasters. These kits, along with food, first aid, and other necessities are rushed to the scenes of disaster all over the world. The Church works with communities that do not have sources of clean water to help them establish disease-free water sources, as well as teaching them principles of hygiene and maintenance that will keep their water clean. The Church has organized a training program to teach neonatal resuscitation to medical professionals all over the world, thus helping to prevent many unnecessary newborn deaths. The Church provides training, equipment, and supplies to eye care professionals and clinics in many poorer countries to help them prevent unnecessary blindness. The Church has an immunization program that helps to get much needed vaccines to children worldwide who might otherwise die of preventable diseases. There is another program run by The Church that helps to teach those in third world countries how to grow and preserve the food they need to be able to feed their families. Because we in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believe that all people are brothers and sisters, we seek to help those in need regardless of their location, ethnicity, and/or religious beliefs.
