Hi, I'm Kimberly
I am a hardworking, virtue seeking, simple everyday kind of woman, and I am a Mormon.
About Me
I am a nurse, a single mom, a woman, and a daughter of God, and I am so thankful to be me. I am grateful to my Father in Heaven for the gift of my life, and the love of family. I love the process of growth and discovery. The everyday adventures of discovering who I am, and what my life is really all about. The amazing thing is that when we seek to know who we are, why we are here, and where we are going, little by little the Lord unfolds to us the mystery of our lives. With time, I have developed the love of many wonderful things. I love being a mother, sister, daughter and friend. I enjoy learning, reading, and serving others. I find great solace in a quiet night filled with inspiring song and the smell of lilacs in the spring. I marvel at the majesty of God’s handiwork, and the beauty of all his creations. I love meaningful conversation, and the opportunity for thoughtful contemplation and pondering. I also enjoy a multitude of various recreational activities like sewing, boating, the theater, writing, singing, long walks, a cozy fire, and spending time with the ones I love. But, most of all I love the peace that the gospel brings to my life, my Heavenly Father, his son Jesus Christ, and the opportunity I have to be a member of His church.
Why I am a Mormon
I am a Mormon by choice, because, I believe. I love the Savior and my Father in Heaven with all my heart. Coming to know them through scriptures, prayers, obedience and virtuous living has brought greater focus, joy, and meaning to my life. Today's world is filled with many loud, conflicting and confusing messages leaving the individual unsure where truth and peace can be found. The gospel of Jesus Christ is an anchor to the soul. It is the same yesterday, today and forever, and it is the one sure path providing the only true and safe way back to our heavenly home.
Personal Stories
How can we develop greater harmony in our homes?
Greater harmony in the home begins with ourselves. When we study and implement into our lives the principles taught in "The Family, A Proclamation to the World" with obedience, diligence and patience we begin to see the fruits of our labors. As we keep the commandments, listen to the words of the prophets, and learn to love and respect one another the way our Father in Heaven has asked us to do, greater family connections are created and greater harmony and love in the home cannot help but abound.
How I live my faith
I live and practice my faith one day, one prayer, and one thoughtful choice at a time. I fill my life with those things that are virtuous, and avoid that which is not. I understand that I am not perfect, but, after doing all that I can do, and by applying the atonement of Christ, through him I can be made perfect. I realize that I cannot do all things, but, I can do something. I try my best each day to walk in his ways, keep the commandments and repent when I fall short. I love God with all my heart, might, mind and strength and always remember that He cheers for my success, and is truly interested in my life despite what the world might say.
