Hi, I'm Clark
I'm a Video Gamer, Soon to be a College student and I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I love to hang out with my friends, I love to play video games, play with friends, and you know, they are like a visual book for me, I just gotta have the story! My Favorites are Mega Man X, Chrono Trigger, Halo, the list goes on! I also love any kind of electronic, they all fascinate me! I love Scouting. I am a Eagle scout, and I am also a Vigil in the Order of the Arrow, and I love the aspect of serving others and being outdoors! I also love to learn new things. Planning on going to College after my mission is up, and I plan on doing my best to live life to its fullest.
Why I am a Mormon
That's a great question! I had always wondered from my childhood why, I am here and what is my purpose? I would catch my self staring at my hand and wondering why am I here? I'd have to say when I was a bout 14 years old, I really started to pay attention to what I was being taught in church, and seminary. In church, everyone has a chance to bare their testimony, of how they know this church is true, and that had left a deep impact for me, cause I wanted to know as well, but I didn't know how? Like I said I started to pay attention to what was being taught and I knew that if I wanted to know, I had to pray to God, and ask him if Joseph Smith was called to be a prophet, and if the Book of Mormon was true. I prayed, and I got my answer through the Holy Ghost, that God had indeed called Joseph Smith to be a Prophet, and that the Book of Mormon was indeed True! Since then I haven't had any questions to where I needed to be, and where to go, because it was there right in front of me the whole time! I just needed to read the Book of Mormon and pay about it! Heavenly Father has a plan for us! He is going to do all that he can to get our attention, so that we can repent, and make it back onto the road home again!
Personal Stories
How has The Book of Mormon helped you understand the purpose of life?
I love the Book of Mormon, it truly is an inspired work, it really does bring us closer to the Savior. When I read it the first time, it was kind of hard, but as I kept to it, and kept reading about the Savior and that he was to come, I felt as though i was there listening to the prophets in person. As I got up to the point when the resurrected Savior visited the Nephites an overwhelming feeling came upon me, I felt that I was there witnessing the savior descending from the heavens, and there to hear his glorious teachings. This book has forever changed me, it has made me a better person today, and it is still helping me answer some of life's toughest questions. It has testified to me that Jesus Christ is our Savior, and that God loves us, that by learning the gospel we will stay on that path that leads us back to them! I Know that this book is true and that it really is another testament of Jesus Christ, and I will continue to read this book so that I can continue to know more about my Savior, and how to make it through this life!
How I live my faith
I do the best that I can to live up to my baptismal covenants and endure to the end. When I slip up, I know that its not the end, I know that I can use the Savior's Atonement, and move on, cause you can't stay in the past, no matter what you think. I'm not perfect in anyway, and I know that it is through, the Savior's help, that I will make it back to Him and our Father's Prescence, also through reading more about the savior in the scriptures and following the counsel of the Prophet and the twelve Apostles. Life is meant to be lived, and we were meant to have joy, so I do my best to have as much joy as possible, and help all around me experience that joy.
