I'm a wife a mother and a D.J. at a radio station in Idaho and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 40 something, I have been married 27 years, I'm a mother of three boys and one daughter one girl is enough. I lead a pretty regular life, I've never been rich, but have been richly blessed! I love the outdoors, camping, water skiing, snow skiing, gardening, I even like to mow the lawn I love to sew, and bake, and wish I could do math! I'm also a DJ at a radio station, I guess that's not too regular.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon becaue I know it is true! It makes me happy every day! It's the best part of who I am. I feel the hand of God in my life every day. I know God knows who I am, I know he loves me, this knowledge gives me a reason to live, love and laugh! I've always known the gospel of Jesus Christ was ture, I know the only times in my life I've been unhappy is when I have not lived the churches teaching, I always want to be happy, so I do my best to live it everyday!

How can we develop greater harmony in our homes?

One of the best things you can do for your family is to spend time with them, pick one night a week and play games, go bowling, or read a story. My Family loves this activity, it may seem hard at first but, stick to it, your kids are worth it.

How I live my faith

I try and think, what would Jesus do, I try to be kind to friends and neighbors, family and strangers. When people see me I hope they see someone who loves Christ, someone who walks the walk and talks the talk. Service, service, service, is the key to living my faith. When I serve others my problems seem less of a problem.

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

No. The church advocates principles and doctrine but does not endorse a certain political party or candidate. If you look in the United States Congress, you'll see members of the Mormon church sitting on both sides of the aisle from the current Senate Majority Leader to a 2008 presidential candidate.

However, the church is involved in the public arena when political initiatives intersect with principles of Christ's gospel. When this happens, the church will release a statement advocating certain principles and encouraging members to uphold these principles. This type of action often leads to confusion. Church support for an initiative for religious reasons should not be taken to imply support for a particular political party. These are two distinctly separate activities.

Do Mormons practice polygamy?

No. I am aware that there is a religious sect that does practice polygamy, however, our doctrine is definately about a one man and one woman relationship within marriage.
