About Me

I am currently serving as a missionary in Omaha Nebraska. Before my mission I spent a lot of time working with my dad remodeling houses, target shooting with my friends, and working on cars. When I get home from my mission in a little over a year, I plan to go to college, get married, and raise a family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for multiple reasons. First, I was raised as a member of the church. My parents were both members and they raised my siblings and I as members. But that's not the main reason. Even though I pretty much always went to church growing up, I wasn't converted until I was 19.
Before that, I never read from the scriptures and I never prayed. I didn't have a faith in much of anything even basic Christianity. I was merely going just to avoid hurting my parents. It wasn't until I finally realized that my life was going in the complete opposite direction it should be that I decided that it was time for me to either find out for sure if this was right or just quit bothering with it altogether. I had to know for myself.

How I live my faith

I currently live my faith by serving as a missionary for the church. Every day, all day I go around talking to people and teaching them about the Gospel.
There is a lot of rejection and most people aren't very happy to see us on their doorstep, but the opportunity that I have to help people change their lives is worth it.

    Family is very important in the church for more reasons than can be explained here. Holding the priesthood is just one of these reasons. Husbands act and bless their family with their priesthood, but wives benefit and honor the priesthood through their husbands. It is a symbiotic relationship. As I have participated in the church in various activities I have come to understand my importance as a woman in the church. There cannot be one without the other.
