Travis: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Travis

I'm the best I can be! I'm Trilingual. I'm from Marshall Islands. I tear it up! I'm part Hawaiian. Im a mormon.

About Me

Well I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and my interests and hobbies are too numerous to list. If it's active i do it! Football, surfing, lifting, gymnastics, runnning, diving you name it I do it! Tennis is a little difficult though hahaha. I'm a missionary preparing to take on life. I have learned two languages in the past 16 months and I am fluent in both, (spanish and marshallese) and when things are good english is my fall back hahaha. I have an awesome family who pushes me to be the best i can. I have accomplished alot but its been because i have a loving Heavenly father and a supportive family. They are the reason for my success. Music chills me out and I love to cruise to reggae! Jack Johnson is legitt and I ate lunch at his house once hahaha no joke! World cultures interest me and im all about speakin your language, if you are willing to teach me. I Love my dad but I tend to be a Momma's boy. I love to work construction and cars are a tender part of my heart! My family taught me what hard work is on the tiny farm we had. Horses are right up there with cars for me. I'm a firm lover of Life!!!!

Why I am a Mormon

Well I was raised in the church. To be honest that means nothing. Anyone can be raised in a church but if you don't truly strive to follow the standards you were taught, whats the point? I have such a testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints being true. In my teens I used everyone elses testimony to build up my own. In my preparing to serve a mission at 19 for this church, I was faced with numerous decisions, doubts, temptations, and so much more. I needed to figure out where I stood with my Heavenly father and I knew I needed to find away to be better than who I was. With all the things I had in my life at that time such as friends, surfing, jobs, I never found complete happiness. After feeling this emptiness I knew i needed to change something. As i strived to repent and bring my life closer to Heavenly Father, I came to see and feel of his Love.Through repentance and the atonement of Jesus Christ, I came to see, a little late in the game, that true happiness comes from living the gospel (Faith, repentance, baptism, recieving the gift of the Holy ghost, and enduring to the end). When we live these principles Our families are the first people to experience the happiness that comes from this gospel. I may not have hard experiences as do others but, I do know the anguish one feels when thier life is not in harmony with the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ. For that I desire for others to feel the relieving and infinite atonement of Jesus Christ work in thier lives. When they do I can promise them THEY WILL FEEL OF OUR HEAVENLY FATHER'S LOVE. The place we begin this journey of change is in our hearts, then it takes off as we read the BOOK OF MORMON!!!!!!!!

Personal Stories

How can your talents and gifts bless others?

As we seek to better our talents in the service of others, the Lord blesses us with greater talents. A talent i have developed is learning languages. The greater blessing recieved is being able to share this gospel with other people in their native tounge. I inturn am able to broaden my horizons and become a better son of my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

As of April 2010 I took on being a Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I love tearin it up day to day looking to help others anyway I can. I thrive on learning from those around so that I am able to better myself. This way I can be a better tool in the hands of my Heavenly Father. Living those five simple principles or also known as the gospel has given me an eternal perspective of who I am and who I will be!
