About Me

I've been a member all my life. My ancestors came across the plains from Nauvoo, IL, England, and Ireland. I am a stay-at-home mom. I home school my two children, my mother lives with us, and I have B.S. Degree in Accounting. My husband and I have been married 25 years and counting. I enjoy crocheting, counted cross-stitch, Soduko, camping, and reading.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Latter-day Saint because it is the only church that has the complete teachings of Jesus Christ, and it makes sense.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the principles of the gospel, obeying the Word of Wisdom, trying my best to be a good example to those around me, and serving others as much as possible.

What is the Law of Chastity?

The power to create children is very sacred. Our Father in Heaven has commanded that the sacred power and privilege of sexual relations be exercised only between a man and woman who are legally married. This is the law of chastity. It means that we must not have sexual relations before we are married, and after we are married we should have sexual relations only with our husband or wife.

Keeping the law of chastity brings safety, happiness, peace, and self-respect. It also deepens married love and protects families. Breaking this law is serious. But those who have broken it can gain forgiveness and peace through repentance and obedience.

God wants the best for you and for all of His children. Following God’s plan of reserving intimacy for marriage will help you and your family be happy.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

A temple is a house of the Lord, a place where we may worship our Heavenly Father and feel of His presence. It is a sacred place where no unclean thing can enter. Because of the importance and sacredness of the temple, a temple recommend is required and is received based on individual worthiness within the church in order to enter its holy walls.

The temple is where I go to find answers, to find peace, and to feel the Spirit. We are encouraged to go as often as possible and to attend seeking Spiritual guidance. Inside we perform sacred ordinances for ourselves and more often for others, those who are deceased. God requires that all to make covenants in order to return to His presence and many died without the opportunity to make these covenants. In the temple we perform the ordinances for them in their name giving them the opportunity to reject or accept the ordinance and thus enter into the presence of the Father. The temple is a very sacred and holy place.
