About Me

Im fom the State of Washington, I love any thing to do with Sports. I love hunting and Fishing with all my life. Im on a mission for the lord in the Ohio. I have a brother on a mission as well and he is in Chile. And we are together are on doing what we do best and the serving others.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in the Gospel Of Jesus Christ, was not the easiest thing for me and my family. My family broke a part when I was 13 years old, but the Gospel has held us together when things went all differnt ways. I know now why it held us together, at the time I did not, and I had very little Faith and wonder if there was really a god and if he really did love and care about me, I know that he dose I can see his Glory where ever I go!! I know why the Book of Mormon is so Importain, and you have to read it for your self to find out. because I cant tell you its true you have to find out for yourself me just telling you it dose you little good unless you want to know its true too. So read it think about it pray about it and the lord will tell you in your heart and in your mind if it is true. so Just DO IT!!!
I know that my Father in Heaven Loves Me, and he loves you.

What is hope and what do you hope for?

Hope is Believing in some thing you can not see but you know that some day it will come. Faith love and HOPE are the the key to almost every thing in life, when you have them you are able to become a better person! I have hope that on day I will be able to take a Beautiful Daughter of my Father in Heaven and be married to her for time and all eternity, and live together not only in this life but the life to come.

How I live my faith

Well Im on a mission for the lord in Ohio Cleveland Mission and love evey day that I get to go out and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It brings joy to my soul to share it with others. I love giving my time to the lord for two years. Its not a lot of time but its what has been asked of me so thats what Im going to do.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

With out Family we have nothing. Look around us every day we have people that love and care about us alot and most of those people are in our very own family. I have 2 Brothers one older and one younger and a little Sister and when my parents were getting divorce it was really hard on all of us but for us kids we all held each other up and we got over it and now we are one big happy Family and are so important to us because they hold up when we are about to fall.

After I joined the Mormon Church I learned about the importance of families. Not long after that I realized that if I was going to follow this teaching I needed to tell my father that I loved him. That was very difficult for me since my dad and I argued so much. I spent the better part of 2 weeks trying to determine how I could do this. When the time came I found that the words came more easily than I had thought. From that point to the time he died, about 22 years later, he and I had an entirely different relationship. We were now friends. And I found how much I regretted all our arguments while growing up. And now I find that I miss him and more fully understand how important our families are.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

In 1776 the Declaration of Independence declared all men to be equal. However in 1830 when the Book of Mormon was published and the church established women and people of color still had no legal rights. The Book of Mormon declared 'Behold, the Lord esteemeth all flesh in one... (1 Ne 17:35) and '..black and white, bond and free, male and female; and he remembereth the heathen; and all are alike unto God, both Jew and Gentile' (2 Nephi 26:33). Joseph taught and lived this. He authorized the Church's women's organization The 'Relief Society'.

When the church moved outside the U.S. borders, they created the State of Deseret with their own constitution which gave ALL adults the right to vote. The State of Deseret was later divided into US states. When the Woman's right to vote began in 1913, women had the right to vote in 4 states: Wyoming, Idaho, Colorado and Utah.- all part of the original State of Deseret with their large Mormon populations. The Relief Society actively supported the Sufferage movement.

The church has always encouraged women to develop their skills and education. The Relief Society sent and paid the schooling for one of the first women at Medical School. Nothing has changed. Motherhood is emphasized because it can be a woman's greatest role - for children are our future. It can also be a woman's greatest joy. Jobs, looks, accomplishments etc will fade or be forgotten, but a loving close family won't, And thanks to grandchildren it will continue to expand.
