Hi, I'm Kendra
I make sure my kids laugh at least once a day and I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I am a mom who is lucky enough to stay home and take care of my 3 crazy kids. I love the beach, reading, and trying to live the Healthy Life.
Why I am a Mormon
My mom is Mormon and my dad is an Atheist, therefore I grew up learning about two different belief systems. When I was 15 I went to a Christian camp with some of my girlfriends from school. It was an awesome place- the people were so friendly and we had so much fun. On one of the last nights we were there, they had a Christian band playing some music, everyone was upbeat and I felt happy. That night I said a prayer to my Heavenly Father- asking if I was in the right church? All these people seemed good and had a true desire to have a relationship with our Savior Jesus Christ. The spirit came to me overwhelmingly letting me know that I was already in the correct church The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. To this day, I will NEVER forget how I felt in that moment- it is the rock of my testimony. From that time on, my testimony has only progressed and continues to get stronger. There are many things that I do not know, but I do know the way I feel. I have had the Spirit confirm to me certain truths- Jesus is the Christ and He lives. The Book of Mormon is another testament of our Savior. I have read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know for myself if it is true- once again, the Spirit communicated to me that it is true. I know that Joseph Smith restored the Gospel again to the Earth. I know that President Thomas S. Monson is a prophet here on the Earth today and that he will not lead us astray. I know that God knows me and is aware of everything I am going through, and that He LOVES you.
How I live my faith
Everyday I strive to live by what I know to be true. It all comes down to love- when you truly love our Savior Jesus Christ, then it will reflect in the choices you make and how you treat others.
