Logan Ingalls: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Logan Ingalls

I'm happy to be a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old. I am serving in Skåne, Sverige. I have been serving my mission now for the past 8 months. I love it here. There are wonderful people and I see my testimony growing quickly. I am almost fluent in swedish but it comes through sharing my testimony, studing my scriptures and what missionaries use, Preach My Gospel. I love to play volleyball and tennis. I will play any sport, they are all fun. My new favorite sport is now Innebandy. It is a game I have learned to play in Sweden. I have 7 people in my family consisting of my parents, three brothers, and lastly a wonderful little sister. I love my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that believed in this church. So naturally I believed in it too at that point. There came a period of time when I really questioned myself on what I believed, so I took the Book of Mormon and read it. It was actually a challenge that our church gave to us, was to read the Book of Mormon. I took that challenge to heart and really wanted to find out its truth. I started reading, praying to God for understanding every time before I read. I didn't get my answer right away, but I kept on reading. The point where I really got my answer was when Jesus Christ visited these people. I liked when the Jesus said when he appeared at the temple of the Nephites, he said, "Behold, I am Jesus Christ, whom the prophets testified shall come into the world." (3 Nephi 11:10) When I read this I new that the book was true and I knew that God loved me enough to send his son to die for me and everyone who had ever lived. I continued reading and I came to the end of the book. Just before the end of the book Moroni says and promises us, "And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ. if these things are not true;and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the holy ghost. And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things." This is what I did and my answer was, "You already know it's true. That is why I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Personal Stories

Why do Mormons go on missions?

Mormons do not have to serve a mission, it is for those that want to. We serve missions because the Lord has asked us to. It is for 2 years and we devote all our time and energy in doing his will, to share that God exists, that his son Jesus Christ came to the world, suffered for the sins of the world and died for all men to provide that way to returned to our Father in Heaven in the last days. We also share about Joseph Smith, he saw God the Father and His son Jesus Christ. They appeared to him in the flesh. They called Joseph to be a prophet and Joseph restored Jesus Christ's Church on the earth again. It is part of our priesthood duties and because we love the Lord and our Heavenly Father we do it. The Lord has said in Doctrine and Covenants 18 10, 15-16, the worth of souls is great in the sight of God, and even one soul you bring unto me in the Kingdom of my Father your joy shall be great. And if you joy shall be great with one soul, how great shall be your joy with many souls. We are inviting all to come onto Christ and take his name upon themselves and learn how to follow Jesus Christ's path back to the Father and to eternal life, which gift is the greatest, of all the gifts of God. - Doctrine and Covenants, chapter 14 verse 7.

How I live my faith

I am serving a mission for my church now, in Sweden. I attend church every Sunday and I try to live my life in harmony with the church standards and teachings. Right now I am currently serving as a missionary in the church. I try to live my live the way Christ would live His life. I am not perfect like Christ, but try to become like He was.
