I am a husband and dad of 3 awesome kids, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina and today I live in beautiful Washington state. I love my wife and three awesome kids. I work in software engineering and try to spend as much time as I can in the outdoors, mountain biking, climbing, hiking, snowboarding, astronomy and astrophotography. I love serving my family and others around me in my community and my church calling.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the gospel of Jesus Christ because it inspires me to do my best, as a husband, father, neighbor, friend, at work, and in everything I do. I have known Jesus Christ is my savior since I was a boy, and have relied in Him countless times throughout my life. I am so grateful to know that God lives, and that my family can be eternal. To have a prophet who leads Christ's Church and receives inspiration and direction through the priesthood of God in these difficult times.

How I live my faith

I take care of my family first. I serve them as best I can, help my wife, play with my children, and help them with schoolwork. I am a father and a husband, and this is the most important part of my identity. At church, I am fortunate to serve the youth, leading the Cub and Boy Scout programs. What an amazing privilege to serve these boys and help teach them to be honest, productive future leaders.

At work, I am lucky to do what I love, software engineering, surrounded by great people from many nationalities, with great hearts and a desire to make others' lives better with the product of their hard work.

I greatly enjoy introducing others to mountain biking and climbenjoy and enjoy this wonderful world we live in. Enjoying this world's beautiful natural treasures helps me become closer to my Savior. I love keeping up with the latest advances and discoveries in astrophysics. Every night I get a chance to look through the telescope I am overwhelmed at God's universe and His infinite creations, and feel priviledged to be one of His sons. He is our Father and his love is real.

What do Mormons believe about “eternal life?”

We believe families are meant to last forever and we live our lives this way. We cherish our wife/husband and children and respect them because we know that, if we are faithful in this life, we'll have the blesing to be with them forever.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

John answered...

We want everyone to be able to enter the Temple and feel of the sweet and beautifully peaceful aroma and spirit there. A Temple is a holy and sacred place. Unlike regular church buildings which are also sacred, Temples are specially reserved as places to be separate from worldly influences. Therefore, only those who are living such a life may enter, so as to preserve the Temple's sacredness. But we want everyone to qualify so that they may enter and feel of that spirit. It isn't hard to qualify, but it does take some effort. All that is required is for one to live a Christlike life with a heart that only desires to do good.
