Celeste: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Celeste

I homeschool my teens. I write for websites. My Savior is my light. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a happily married wife and a mother of three fabulous children, two teens and one adult child. We are a home educating family who uses the Leadership Education model aka. Thomas Jefferson Education or TJED. We are life-long learners, campers, Settlers of Cattan players, and enjoy spending time together. I enjoy writing for websites and creating personalized blogs. We practice Thrifty Living principles.

Why I am a Mormon

I feel closest to my Savior when I am living the Gospel Principles. I have learned that when I follow His plan, my life is full and enjoyable. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints helps me to know the Lord's plan for me and how I can return to live with Him.

Personal Stories

What are you doing to help strengthen your family and make it successful?

My family members are the most important people in my life. I love them deeply! I am so thankful for the blessings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to strength us against our everyday trials and decline of the world. I know the Savior has blessed me with the Mormon Church to provide wholesome Gospel teaching, family activities, and a community in which our family can feel part of the larger family of God, in which we are all His children, as we associate with our fellow brothers and sisters.

What have you done successfully to shield your family from unwanted influences?

The best shield against unwanted influences in this world are to teach the principles of the Gospel to our children. We also must live the principles ourselves. Children learn by watching us. Our teens are doing wonderful things in being guardians against the evil in this world. By associating with good friends, attending church, and having our daily family prayer and scripture reading, we have teens who have a happy home life and feel close as a family.

Please explain the part prayer plays in your life?

Prayer is my daily communication with my Father in Heaven. I feel close to Him when I pray. I have felt His love and guidance through prayer and know that He hears and loves each of us, even when our lives are not perfect.

How I live my faith

I serve as the President of our children's Primary organization in small branch in our town. This organization is for children ages 18 months through 11 years old. I love serving these precious children whose faith and trust in their Savior, Jesus Christ, uplifts and inspires me.

We teach the children songs of praise and Gospel principles each week in our Sunday meetings. The children interact with children their own age and of all ages throughout the meetings. I enjoy these sweet children!

I also serve in the Cub Scout Pack as Committee Chairperson and as a Den Leader. My interaction with these valiant boys is fun, they are full of energy and excitement to learn about ways to serve their community.

I live my faith by serving in our church and the Boy Scouts of America. It is through this service that I give back a small percentage of what my Savior has done for me.
