About Me

I am currently attending my third year in college and i love it! i am studying Human Dev emphasis in Early Childhood Dev and am minoring in creative writing. i want to create a theory of human emotions and why we act the way we do. i am third oldest of 8 kids and i love it! i love my family they are my life. Six of us are girls and since i dont live too far from home we still do alot together. We love adventure packed vacations, rock climbing, 4-wheeling, kendo, fencing and kyacking. Someday i want to go to Austrailia and Snorkel at the great Barrier Reef i think it is one of the most beautiful places in the world. I love warm weather and music is my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am mormon because of the reassance and comfort in find in this gospel. I am a mormon because there is so much joy to be found! i love it. The message of Christ and his atonment and his ministry and all he has to offer us his children is so wonderful He is there for us and loves us! He loves us so much! Thats why he sent his son here to atone for us. There isnt a day that goes by that i dont see his hand in my life and know that is is there for me and that is why i contine to be apart of this great gospel. Being a Mormon is the best thing i have ever done.

How does making right choices help us make more right choices?

I feel like the more i turn to heavenly father the more he is open to me and the more the right choices i tend to make. There have been times in my life when i havent felt as close and it seems at those times it was harder for me to make decsions and feel like what i was doing was right but the more i look at things in an eternal perspective the more reassurance and comfort i feel

What blessings have come through your faith in Jesus Christ?

Faith in the principle of tithing would definatly be one of the biggest i have found. I have had countless experiences when i knew i didnt have the means to get what i needed but then the still small voice reminded me i needed to pay my tithing and no doubt i was blessed. And you know yes sometimes those blessings did come from extra hrs at work and finding a random 20,, but the thing is alot of the time those blessings came from other people those blessings came in things other than money. And i know that whenever i am struggling or need help that if i am following Christ and his teachings that though it may not always be easy.. things will always be okay

Why do Mormons go on missions?

I believe Mormons go on missions because they are craving to show others the happiness and joy they have found in this gospel. Its like finding a cool song that you just love! and you want to share it with everyone you meet because you want them to know and realize how happy it has made you. and the only thing that could make you happier would be to share it with someone

How I live my faith

I participate by being activley enaged in all my singles ward does. Although i do have to work and miss some of our activites and get togethers i do try to make it to all of them that i can. Each day i pick something and try to do a little better, be a little kinder, serve a little more, listen more.. i serve by teaching with the scriptures docterines of Christ and how we can help others along the way. i love helping others realize that God is there for us and loves us so very much. To see someone realize the truth and the happiness it brings is the best thing in the world.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Yes A marriage can live on forever. We belive that if we are faithful and hold out to the end that our families will be eternal, never ending. We will live with them forever and progress with them through the eternities.

When married by earthly power and the authority of man, our vows are "Until death do you part."

We believe that families can be together forever as part of our Heavenly Father's Great Plan of Happiness. His Work and His Glory is to bring to pass the exaltation and eternal life of man. He wants us to be even as He is and to return home to live with Him again.

Through the ordinances of his Holy Temples, God's son's and daughter's are able to make covenants. Through the power of His Holy Priesthood, be sealed together for all of time and eternity as Husband and Wife, parents and children.

Families were designed and instituted by God with the intent that they be forever. The love we feel in this life does not need to be cut off when we die. Those who have already died are not lost us forever. God has mercifully made a way by which all who would accept these saving ordinances can do so, living or dead.

We perform these ordinances for those who have in the past died so that they may have the opportunity of accepting them on the other side if they so choose to do so.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

No. I've never even met the man.

One night I was on the front row of a concert. A big star came to the edge of the stage and held out his hand. EVERYONE rushed forward, climbing over each other, pushing and wedging themselves along, just to touch him. I almost got caught up in that too, and was about to rush ahead when a little voice kicked in "He's just a man. What's the big deal?" At that moment I vowed to never adulate anything less than deity. I will not go to my knees for anyone but a Loving God.

I respect Joseph Smith like I respect any man who tries his best to live according to his conscience. I hope maybe one day I'll get to chat with him over lunch--or over whatever kind of meal they offer in the life beyond. But I cannot worship a man, for why should I place and value one person any higher than another?
