Hi, I'm Ammon
I have a wife and three children. I am a patriot, am active in politics, and love to travel throughout the world. I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I am married and a father of three children. I go to work each day and feel grateful to do so. My job has taken me throughout the world, allowing me the chance to meet lots of wonderful people and and become acquainted with other cultures. This has helped me to appreciate what I can learn from others, while also helping me to understand the many blessings that come from living in the United States of America. Part of this experience was serving a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Italy. Aside from learning Italian, I gained a love and appreciation for Italy and its wonderful people that I will retain forever.
Why I am a Mormon
I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or "Mormon" for several principal reasons. During my early years growing up in Missouri, even though I had been born into an LDS family, I quickly gained a personal conviction that was spiritually based, allowing me to follow the faith on my own regardless of my parents' similar choices. What are these convictions? I am convinced that this Church has the fullness of the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. It makes me a better person than I might otherwise be. It gives me the life-giving ordinances such as baptism, and those administered in the temples necessary to return to the presence of our Father in Heaven after this earthly life. There are many other faiths out there that are good and positive. However, none of them offer all of these things. That is "why I am a Mormon."
How I live my faith
I like to think that those who know me know what my beliefs are and that I live my faith daily without the need to wear it on my sleeve. That means that I do the usual things like attend church meetings regularly. But it also means that I apply the teachings of Jesus Christ to my every day actions. I try to be honest in my dealings with others. I believe in being a good citizen. I work at maintaining a strong family life and teaching my children well. I do not swear. I abstain from using tobacco, harmful drugs, and alcohol. I try to exercise generosity and look for opportunities to serve others. I think this is what God would have me do as part of living a Christlike life.
