Hi, I'm Lori
I grew up in the church and am a convert too! I am a Mormon!
About Me
I have a wonderful husband and between the two of us, we have five children from previous marriages. Jon has four kids and I have one daughter - who just made me a grandma!!! Whaa Whoo!!! There is nothing more important to me in this world than to be a part of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ! He has been so merciful on me. I have had my share of heartache and dis-pare in this life. If it were not for Him, I would have no direction or joy in this life. It is so much bigger than the already huge bundles of joy and happiness my family gives me. It is truly indescribable.
Why I am a Mormon
I grew up in the church in the heart of Utah. This hasn't been a golden ticket to endless joy and easy days. I still needed to know for myself where to find the truth. I always had that special feeling going to church and watching conference... this is where my testimony started. To be honest, I wasn't truly converted until one day - after a truly heartbreaking moment in my life - I took a gospel lesson manual and went to the Provo Temple grounds to study this book and to pray. I had an undeniable moment that committed me for the rest of my life to study scriptures, to attend the temple and to give all I could to the Lord and His church. The feelings of comfort and love felt from Him was and continues to be overwhelming. I cannot deny the truth of this restored church and the future that we all have because of the tender mercies of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I am filled with gratitude for Him in allowing me to be a part of this! Words cannot express it enough!
How I live my faith
I have found that when you are truly converted, living your faith is easy. I have the blessing of teaching our adult sisters in my ward every month. This gives me the opportunity to renew and learn more about the gospel of Jesus Christ as I prepare to teach the sisters in my ward. I also visit teach a few sisters in their homes each month with my visiting teaching companion. I love the life long friendships that are developed and the chance we have as sisters to grow together in our journey of life.
