Hi, I'm Ben
I'm a sportswriter, and I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I'm a writer and a sports fan. I'm studying to become sports journalist in the next few years. I have a passion for football - soccer - and a love of life in general. I keep myself busy trying to achieve my dreams and ambitions and serve other people along the way.
Why I am a Mormon
I'm a very analytical person and love for things to make sense to me. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is, for me, the only church which makes sense and explains so many of my questions logically and in a way that feels good to me. I'm a Mormon because it makes me happy, and isn't that what we're all looking for in life?
Personal Stories
Can you talk about the missions of the Church and your participation in them?
Jesus told His disciples to go spread the Gospel to all the world, and that mandate is still in force today. For this reason, our church sends missionaries all over the earth with the purpose of bringing people closer to Christ. I've known close friends and family who have served in Argentina, Brazil, the U.K., Ukraine, Peru, the West Indies, and other places. I myself had the honor of serving in South Carolina for two years. It was a hugely rewarding experience and a blessing in my life to see the message that I helped to share touch and change people's lives for the better. I've seen many people come unto Christ, and I had the opportunity to serve countless people. It was the best thing I’ve ever decided to do.
How I live my faith
I try to serve the Lord every day by showing others how the Gospel has brought me happines and how it can bring them the same. I find as I serve others and share what I believe with them it brings me greater happiness in my life. I serve in my community by helping others whenever and wherever I can in various outlets.
