About Me

I am the second oldest of four boys. We are all spread apart in age with three years difference. We stick together and family means EVERYTHING. I am for sure a Momma's boy. Born and raised in Huntington Beach. Father passed on when I was sixteen. My older brother was serving a mission in South America at the time. I am doing my best to live up to the example of my brother, my father, and most importantly my Savior. I love hanging out, playing video games, watching movies, goofing around, being weird, smiling, hugs, sports, my friends, my family, the gospel, church, Jesus Christ, and Heavenly Father.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this GREAT faith. But as I express to every person I come across and share the gospel with, I had to find out for myself. Just as everyone has to. Every body born into the church or not is a convert because we all have to experience finding the truth of it for ourselves. As my good friend P. Peterson would say " If I was born into a household that all the people were bad, does that make me someone who is bad?". The answer is no because we all develop who we are and have the personal choice to do things that mold us into the people we are being at that present time. I choose to follow Christ and the example he set so I CHOOSE to be Mormon. In a plain and simple answer it's because I prayed to God last night and he told me that the Book Of Mormon is TRUE!

Personal Stories

How has your knowledge of the Plan of Happiness changed/benefited your life?

When my father passed it was pretty rough. My brother was in South America and I felt like I had to handle it all alone. I had a rough time grasping the thought of something hereafter. I constantly reflected on the thoughts of what should of happened and what could of happened. Many what if's were flying through my head all the time. With this GREAT PLAN OF HAPPINESS I can now KNOW, not think, of what WILL happen. It warms my heart to have the comfort of seeing my family forever. Of knowing that my father will embrace me in his arms when I see him. This is the blessing that I have gained. To know that Heavenly Father loves ALL His children. Which is hard to think cause for a long time I questioned him and what had happened. In frequent angry times. Through this knowledge I have truly gained happiness. That is the blessings promised to us. This is what I want everyone to experience and feel for themselves. To know with no doubt that Hevanely Father and the Savior Jesus Christ love them. And that only by following His commandments we can truly be happy....

Can you talk about the missions of the Church and your participation in them?

Missions are for one purpose. To bring others unto Christ. To let people know of the wonderful truths that are here on this earth today. Through the restoration of Christ's church through a latter day prophet. I am lucky enough to be apart of this wonderful call. I have served as a FULL-TIME Missionary and loved every second of it. I got to watch people change their lives. I see the change in how they live and who they are. It is a blessing to watch the love of Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father be experienced in their lives.

How I live my faith

I live life! Do my best and be my best. I go to church on sundays. I say my prays everyday along with reading scriptures. Am as charitable as I can be to ALL Heavenly Fathers children. Love EVERYONE! Do what I can to set an example and follow in the footsteps of my Savior. Trying to walk the path that was lead for us all.

Are there restrictions based on race or color concerning who can join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have the priesthood?

There are no restrictions based on race or color for anybody who can join the church. If you have a desire to come unto Christ and be baptized with the proper authority, no matter who you are and your racial background, you will be able to.

There is no discrimination or exclusions of race. The Lord says in the bible, "...man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the Heart." 1Sam 16:7. The Lord does not care what race or color you are. All he cares about is you. He loves you.

What is a ward/stake/branch?

To make the administration of this world-wide church possible, the church is organized into geographical regions and sub-regions. The most basic administrative unit is called the "ward". The wards in the church vary in size but are comprised of a geographical area with anywhere from 300 to 700 members. The ward is presided by a bishop. A group of five to twelve wards are combined to form a "stake". A stake is presided by a stake president.
In regions of the world where there is a lesser concentration of members, "branches" are formed. These branches are equivalent to wards but usually have less members. A branch is presided by a branch president.
This organization makes it possible for 14 million members to each have local leaders that can provide guidance, teaching, and administering of the sacred ordinances of the gospel
