About Me

HI, my name is Taylor. I love boating, dirt biking, skiing, snowboarding, and being outside with my family. I love cars everything from the inside to the extirior. Going fast is everything and what i plan my life around. Right now im serving my mission in minnesota and enjoying the life changing expirences that happen everyday. School is on the horizon along with family and friends!

Why I am a Mormon

Im a Member of The Church of Jesus Chris of Latter Day Saints because of the happiness that comes from the life altering beliefs that I get to live everyday. I was born and raised mormon and at times I cant always say I lived up to those standard I find joy in making everyday a new challege to change something or someone for the better. Being a mormon isnt just goign to church and having that name,,for me its wearing it accross your chest like Miss America and living the principles that our loving heavenly father has set for us!.

How I live my faith

Right now I live my faith as a full time missionary for the church. I live knowing that I was set apart as a missionary for Christs Church with the same priesthood athority that God the Father uses. I live it by sharing my beliefs to people that are as less fortunate to hear, to helping people humble themselve to listen to the Holy Ghost.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Ill awnser this question because i awnser it daily. It simple of all the people that ask this question as yourselves this! when in troubling times who would you want there? when feeling lonely or lost who would you want there? We as mormons believe in a strong family foundation! so when those winds of adversity blow we can take shelter among those we know will always love us, always care, and always strive to help!

After I joined the Mormon Church I learned about the importance of families. Not long after that I realized that if I was going to follow this teaching I needed to tell my father that I loved him. That was very difficult for me since my dad and I argued so much. I spent the better part of 2 weeks trying to determine how I could do this. When the time came I found that the words came more easily than I had thought. From that point to the time he died, about 22 years later, he and I had an entirely different relationship. We were now friends. And I found how much I regretted all our arguments while growing up. And now I find that I miss him and more fully understand how important our families are.

What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

We all have the freedom to pursue happiness in their own way, and I would even be willing to allow that some desires may be genetically given. This does not make our desires right. In the scriptures we read " For the natural man is an enemy to God, and has been from the fall of Adam, and will be, forever and ever, unless he yields to the enticings of the Holy Spirit, and putteth off the natural man and becometh a saint through the atonement of Christ the Lord." (Mosiah 3:19) We all have "natural desires" that place us in opposition with God's purpose and desires for us and we must each seek to correct them if we wish true happiness.

I sympathize with those whose desires are powerful and poignant; you face a sore trial indeed. The scriptures give us hope though; "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." (1 Corinthians 10:13) God is merciful and Christ is compassionate, while there may be yet an effectual struggle to be had perhaps for many years or the rest of our lives full repentance and change is possible.

If a homosexual individual desires to continue as such and marry only by the laws and rites of the state, then I have no qualms, I will do my utmost to be a friend to such an individual. I only ask that my rights, beliefs, and Church are respected.
