About Me

I pretty much just like being around my family and friends. I like to try new things, but I mostly just stick to reading, eating, and sleeping.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because living the gospel brings me Joy. Real Joy.
I wake up in the morning and don't have to think about whether or not I'm going to give in to the temptations that the world presents to me, I just try to do what the Lord commands.
I'm a Mormon because I love the Lord.
I know that I am a Daughter of my loving Heavenly Father.
I know that He sent the greatest gift any Father could ever send, His Son - Jesus Christ - to walk this Earth as a man and suffer the sins and pains of all mankind.
I know Jesus Christ defeated death and rose again.
I know that He still lives.
I know that because of Jesus Christ I can become as They are.
This knowledge brings me Happiness.

Why do Mormons go on missions?

God gave us His Beloved Son. That Beloved Son give us His life, and the opportunity to live again. The least we can do is to give 2 years.

How does making right choices help us make more right choices?

When you make one right decision it puts you in a place, physically & mentally, that allows for more. The same goes for bad choices. If you don't go to a party where you know there are illicit drugs present, you are more likely not to partake of them then if you do go to the party.
By making one right choice, you eliminate many pending wrong choices.

How I live my faith

I serve on a committee that is dedicated to serving the women in my area. I organize activities that women can participate in to strengthen their love for God, help them develop lifelong skills, allow them to make friends, and bring them closer to their Savior Jesus Christ.

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

It's true. Simple as that. People are happier when they have the truth, and so we see the Church grow.

I think the Church is growing because people see that there can be a better way to live, that they don't have to be bound by the chains of addiction, pornography, dysfunction and broken homes. We know that the most important thing in this world is the family and the future of this world is found in the lives of the children and teenagers we see on the street, in our malls and schools. The best thing we can do is teach them to be honest, upright and moral citizens who can contribute to the betterment of society. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches that the family is incredibly significant--so significant that God wants us to be families forever, even when we die. This is huge for many people in the world who realize that their children can really be with them forever. There is tremendous comfort in that, and I think this is why so many people are drawn to this Church. It provides hope and peace.

What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

Part of our purpose here on earth is to form eternal families. A husband and his wife possess the God-given abilities to procreate. Together they are two halves of a whole. Each possess gifts and abilities necessary to the creating and rearing of children. God has ordained it such, and any lifestyle that inhibits the progression towards forming eternal families is not in accord with God's plan and purpose for life. "Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord" (1 Corinthians 11:11)
