Hi, I'm Lauren Reid
I'm a Mormon.
About Me
My husband and I were married on June 12th 2010. I grew up just outside of Washington DC. My husband and I met in our Provo singles ward Fall of 2008 We live in provo where my husband goes to school and I work as a nanny and wedding planner. I like to sew, cook, decorate and design. Both my husband and I are very active and love sports. My husband is applying to Dental School this summer. We love to travel and see the world. I have done a study abroad in Israel and was able to live in Ghana for a month registering orphans.
Why I am a Mormon
I was born into the LDS faith and have had a strong testimony since I was young. I am a mormon because I believe in the principles that this church was founded on. I have a testimony of my Savior that was strengthened when I went on my study abroad to Israel. There I was able to focus my life on His life and discover for myself my feelings about our Savior. I know that my Savior lives and I know that the revelations and actions of Joseph Smith were given from God. I continue to follow this church because I know this is the path I was meant to be on. I know that temples are important and they are here to allow us to return to our Father in Heaven. I am grateful for a family that taught me the principles of the gospel from a young age and instilled in me an appreciation for this gospel. I am a Mormon because I want to be with the ones I love for eternity and I want to share this truth with as many as I can.
How I live my faith
My husband and I try to do our church callings the best that we can. Even though my husband works night shifts into Sunday we get up every Sunday morning and go to all 3 hours. I try my hardest to be active in visiting teaching and reach out to those girls in as many ways as I can. We try to attend the temple as often as we can and perform family names. I try to be an example of my faith through the way I dress and talk and act. I think it is important to be different in today's world and to stand out in a good way. We try to make our home a place where the savior can dwell. We do weekly activities together where we learn more about our faith and we spend time together developing our family unit. I try to demonstrate through the way that I portray our family in the media that we are members of this church.
