About Me

Hello there, I'm Kalin. I live in South Eastern Sunny Florida. Some hobbies of mine Include Wakeboarding, Surfing, Photography, Being with friends, and so many other things. I graduate high school 2010-2011 year. I am a certified BSA Lifegaurd. I am a Life Scout. I never attained my eagle. I am going to serve my LDS mission in the João Pessoa, Brazil Mission. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I choose too. It is something I enjoy having in my life. Not a day has gone by were I have thought of joining any other religion. I love being apart of this church.

How I live my faith

I am called as a Ward missionary, were I help the investigators get prepared for when the missionary's do teach them. I love my calling.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A Testimony is a personal and spiritual Witness of a certain thing you have come to know. A testimony is something that is built from faith. From that faith, it slowly turns into knowledge as you search to know if it's true. Then, You'll gain a personal testimony of that thing. Show more Show less

A testimony is a personal witness and a confirmation of truth through the Holy Ghost. God loves us enough to answer our questions when we ask them with faith and honest intent and sincerity. The result is that we can be confident that we are actually following God's will because He gives us evidence of the truth. Gaining a testimony doesn't just happen because we ask though, it also requires diligent searching which may include studying the scriptures and praying for as long as it takes to receive an answer, which comes in the Lord's time and wisdom, and according to the scriptures, "after the trial of [our] faith." I can say that I have my own testimony because I have tried this method and I know that it works. God loves us and it isn't necessary that we stay in the dark, especially concerning such important matters as His plan for us, or our Salvation or anything pertaining to those things. We absolutely believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. We believe that He was the God of the Old Testament. Under the direction of the Father, He created the earth. He spoke to the Old Testament prophets such as Noah, Abraham and Moses. He was born to the virgin Mary in Bethlehem. He walked among the people of Palestine, working many mighty miracles. He suffered and died for our sins. He rose from the grave and ascended to Heaven to stand on the right hand of the Father. We believe that He appeared alongside the Father to the prophet Joseph Smith. Today, He is at the head of our church and leads it through the prophet and twelve apostles. He will come again to reign upon the earth with all those who have faith in Him. Through Him, and Him alone, we can be forgiven for our sins and receive eternal live in the Kingdom of God.
