About Me

I was born in Utah, throughout highschool my hobbies consited but not limited to Fly fishing, Hunting, and wrestling. I enjoy the great outdoors, I also enjoy being with my family, they show me how to love and they have helped shape me to the person I am today. I am currently serving a full-time mission in portland, OR. I am just a laid back easy going guy who loves to kick it. I had the blessing of being born into the church and finding out for myself that it was true. And that as I live gospel principles I feel good and am able to feel God's love for me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it feels right, I never had a huge conversion but, I felt in my heart that it was right. I believe that is how god tells us, I feel sometimes it doesnt always make sense in our head and we cant always comprehend things. But I know that god tells us through the feelings that we feel.

How has attending Church services helped you?

Church attendance has help me find my personal purpose in life its really helped me know what I am here to do. Through the promptings I feel.

How I live my faith

I am able to live my faith by keeping comandments from god, one that has really impacted my life is keeping the sabbath day holy. Because of that I sacrifice sundays to go to church instead of doing things that I would want to do. I believe that as we worship god we will find peace, and be happy. That is truly what god wants for us because I know he loves us all. I feel as though prayer is another way that I am able to live my faith I feel that prayer is the way that I can communicate with heavenly father and it helps me to remember that their is someone looking out for me.

What is faith?

Faith to me is, jumping into something you are not sure of, Its something that we cant be sure of because we dont know how it works, where it comes from, or why it even happens. But I guess the biggest part is that it does happen. We just have to be willing to pick it up and run with it. I know that as we learn and grow faith is something that comes over time. It cant all come at once but, a little at a time. I know that as we take that leap of faith god will catch us.

Of all the definitions of faith I have read or heard, I add the simplest and most complete to me, which is the Love of Christ. I cannot think of a better way to describe faith. Love of Christ is the substance of hope in something evident we can not see with earthly eyes. It is the faith in Christ or the love of Christ that enabled Able to make a more perfect sacrifice (Hebrews 11:4). That love is why we believe in Christ, it is why we have grace, it is why we have works, it is why we have belief, it is why we have hope, it is why we have charity, it is the very essence of faith, and faith is the very essence of the Love of Christ

Perfect knowledge is worthless without faith. For instance, most of us have perfect knowledge that applying a pointed pencil to paper will cause a mark. That knowledge will not make a mark if we do not exercise the elements of faith called works (picking up the pencil, applying it to the paper, and making a mark), belief (that doing so will make a mark), and hope (that it actually will make a mark). It is my desire that you would exercise works to find out about Christ and study Him, that you would believe on His words and His life and His sacrifice, and that you would hope that He would have an effect in your life. If you exercise this faith, you will truly come unto Him.
