I'm a Canadian, Baseball Player, Ping-Pong Master, Food Lover, A Missionary... and I'm a MAN, a full grown one, I'm also a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the small town of Magrath Alberta, lived there most all my life. I went to college to play baseball until I made a decision to serve a full-time mission. I am now serving a mission in the Canada Halifax Mission which covers the Maritimes of eastern Canada. I love the outdoors and love playing sports, but most of all I love to serve others, there is no greater joy in the world then helping out your fellow friends, family, or those you meet.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, but not always did I find myself living what the church taught. I found that at a later age of my life I realized that I didnt know if the church was true.I never planned on serving a mission, I never planned on taking two years out of my life to do the Lords work. One day as I was reading in the Book of Mormon it suddenly hit me that i knew what i had been taught was true, I knew that Joseph Smith truly was a prophet of God and restored the fullness of the gospel to earth once again, the same Church that Christ himself established while he was here on the earth. Once I came to this knowledge I knew that I needed to serve a mission and help others come to the same knowledge that I had come to. I decided that a mission was the most important thing that I could do at this time. I was playing baseball and it was good and college was fun and I enjoyed it alot, but I knew that it would all be there at the time when I would get back from my mission. I know this church is true and it means so very much to me, and I am now serving a mission helping others come to that same knowledge.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving a full-time mission. I am serving in Eastern Canada where I help others learn more of the message of the restored gospel, and help them make changes in their lives that will help them grow closer to our Father in Heaven and His son Jesus Christ.

Are Mormons Christians?

Absolutely Mormons are Christians! The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-Day Saints. The whole church is centered around Christ himself. Yes we have prophets and apostles and many believe that we dont believe in Christ, but we have the same organization as did the primitive church in the time when Christ set it up while He was here on the earth. We have the same foundation of prophets and apostles that has been around throughout all time, and throughout all the Bible and Book of Mormon. Ephesians chapter 2 verse 20 states, "And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone." Notice how although our church is built upon prophets and apostles, Christ himself is still the chief cornerstone of His church and everything we do as Latter-Day Saints is focused centered around Jesus Christ.

YES. Yes yes yes. What is a Christian? A Christian is a person that believes in Jesus Christ, and believes that Christ did in fact die for us so that we can repent and return to live with him again. He is our Savior and Redeemer. We pray and we worship in the name of Jesus Christ. He is the center of our faith. Jesus Christ is my Savior. He died for me. He loves me. He is my hero, and he is my best friend.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Absolutely. If God loved his children in ancient times enough to send them, does He love us any less?

Prophets serve at least 2 purposes.

In the past, Christ Jesus personally called prophets, apostles, evangelists, teachers, deacons, etc, according to the Apostle Paul. He uses such leaders to help move His great work forward, because it is through selfless service that we develop Christ-like qualities and allow us to be one with Him so that we may be One with the Father. Having a living prophet allows the Father to teach hitherto new principles or doctrine to all His children. We can always interpret scripture to meet our intimate needs through personal revelation via prayer and communion with the Holy Ghost. But the greatest acts of service are always done through the synergistic power of communities, whether they are a family or a nation. Our Father in Heaven understands this and he communes with his living prophet, Thomas S Monson, in order to bless the lives of all His children regardless of their circumstances or creeds.
